    @BBC The viewing public should not be forced to fund a service they have not chosen, just so they can watch Freeview on their own television sets. Like Amazon Prime and Netflix, the BBC should now compete in the marketplace and offer a subscription service. #defundthebbc

    @BBC The viewing public are not ‘celebrating’ being forced to fund your moribund corporation. The BBC is not an essential service, so the taxpayer should not be forced to pay for it, just for the privilege of watching Freeview on their own televisions. #DefundTheBBC

    @Marionblacker1 @implausibleblog Exactly. And theirs is paid by compulsory licence fee to watch a TV even if you don’t want to watch their channels but just freeview. Sad for poor families & elderly who maybe already struggling with cost of living.Obscene really.

    I'm going to have to start watching Emmerdale on ITV hub the Freeview signal has cut out on a couple of the recordings this week.
