  • farmfriendlincs Farmers Friend (@farmfriendlincs) reported

All Freeview @Channel4 stations have just crashed! Never had that happen before.

  • eddsirr Edd Sirr (@eddsirr) reported

@JBlairSco @Gwyn_Dr @S4C There is probably an issue with having a ‘commercial’ channel on a BBC multiplex as well. It would make more sense, S4C would be able to broadcast to England too - and would restore Great Movies Classics in Wales on Freeview too.

  • sbrad_shaw Sean (@sbrad_shaw) reported

@MonkeySaid @lgtechventures LG DM'd me to say it's due to a contract issue between them and FREEVIEW, so basically - tough luck ,not ideal !

  • sharp1uk Peter Sharp (@sharp1uk) reported

@C4F1 If you don't sort the technical issues out, no one with Freeview will find out anyway.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

@danmooreradio Fire at Red Bee. That's had an impact on playout, on continuity and for Freeview viewers, multiplexing issues (why services have been off for longer on Freeview than on satellite).

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

Channel 4 on satellite is working (if you want to watch Deadpool 2). Problems persist on Freeview in some regions - this is because of the way C4 is distributed on terrestrial TV. Example C4 SD: E Mids Freeview: blank screen with 4 logo top left. North East Freeview: normal.

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@a516digital C4 and c5 are back in oxford area on freeview, I've asked around, programme listings are missing on someones box. It's at times like this I wish I could help more, but I can,t get freeview at the best of times only DTH.

  • JBlairSco James Blair FRSA (@JBlairSco) reported

@Gwyn_Dr @eddsirr @S4C So why doesn’t S4C have a backup link as a priority to the network? Regardless they were off the air to freeview the most watched platform for the channel!

  • Gwyn_Dr Gwyn Williams (@Gwyn_Dr) reported

@JBlairSco @eddsirr @S4C But it's not an "on-air" failure. It is an issue at a third party site when the multiplex signals for Freeview are encoded.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

@danmooreradio It appears at least C5 has a back-up feed. C4 is restored - i.e. there is a working feed around. The problem now appears to be in the distribution chain for Freeview's D3&4 (PSB2) multiplex.
