@Office365 @office @Office365_Tech GM. At home I have office 2016 pro. Just purchased ms family 365. When I open word, excel, etc, they open as 2016 not the 365 version. How do I fix this? Thanks.

The biggest challenge this evening is trying to work out how to put my out of office email reply on using new office 365... Old school email system was easy! After only 14 days of A/L this year the batteries need recharging and this problem needs solving!

@shocks @wineaccguy My personal computer is also windows 10 and does not have this issue, but I don't really have the option of not using my work laptop because they only license office 365 for one device per account and my personal setup I use LibreOffice

@MattTheTechLV Until recently we used Office 365’s spam filter that generates a roundup each day, which is perfect for the amount of mail I get (loooooots). This third-party bolt-on is terrible and its settings apparently can’t be tweaked. Beyond dumb.

@Mrs_YellowLaura Are you using web based or desktop version? I use desktop as I find browser based very irritating. If you’ve not got desktop, sign in to Hwb via the Yr Athrofa page and you’ll be able to download it from the office365 menu

While connected to the VPN, they then, for example, can use legit creds to login to anyone's Office 365 email account (CISA says they were observed doing this). Basically, they can login to anything on the entire network and could place backdoors anywhere

@KimZetter @fs0c131y The nuances of "can potentially…" and "if the managed service provider has remote access…" and "could possibly disrupt…" obviously get lost in the hysteria. If you install malware on the Office365 server in the utility co office, have you breached "critical infrastructure?"

@helen2076 We have Office365 through our school gateway. Part of my issue is that the instructor literally uses a free website that anyone can access and doesnt even make her own assignments. It’s disrespectful to students who are putting time & effort into the work. She refused to help.

@AnitaYandle Just to elaborate- office 365 has a feature in word where they can read you out loud what you wrote. It works to allow you hear if what you wrote makes sense. I catch a lot of errors.

5. Advanced hunting data not updating for over a week. Not resolved until ranting about it on Twitter. 6. @Office365 alerts and Quarantine not accessible at all. Just throw random errors. Same here, problem for several days and then just suddenly starts to work w/o explanation.

@grouppolicyguy Another common problem has been how to actually consume cloud services, even things so simple as where to deploy AAD connect for Office 365. We couldn’t articulate how to have a Red Forest deployment coexist with “cloud is more secure” marketing. It has been a huge roadblock.

When wanting to use questionnaires in assessments and for outcome measurement why not consider Microsoft Forms as a solution. Use of this via an NHS Wales email login will be covered by the existing DPA (covers Microsoft Teams and Office 365). Check with supervisors first.

Is it only a coincidence that Office365 Admin Portal has a slow response in Chrome and a fast response in Edge browser? The only web pages I always have to use in Edge instead if Chrome? OnPageLoad (if browser=Chrome then Wait 60 seconds)
