@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

@jackieshears2 The Freeview service is not something we have an effect on Jackie as this is not supplied by us. This service is supplied by the TV aerial coming into the property. Have you connected the TV aerial directly to the back of the TV to see if the issues are persisting?

My Youview box has packed up. No major problem, but it was convenient to have all my streaming apps (more or less) in one place with one controller. Am I better off buying an android box or a smart tv with all built in? I have an Amazon stick but no Freeview on it. Thoughts?

@BBCNews And that folks are part of the problem in this country. The idea of what constitutes being poor is misunderstood. Cheap mobile phone, Freeview TV, reliable car, all essential. Not latest iPhone, multiple channel streaming and new car.
