@BeljicaPeak @ArloSmartHome Even better they still lie to their android users forcing them to turn on insecure permissions. I dropped Arlo completely after they doubled down on the permissions.

  • ejtt7ciia Eric W (@ejtt7ciia) reported

To add insult to injury, 4 days after a new controversial EoL policy, @ArloSmartHome sends an email about 20% price increases. Congrats Arlo - you lost a lifelong fan after two bad decisions. It's the timing - you have to give users more than a couple months notice...

  • wrinkled_lemon 🏎 (@wrinkled_lemon) reported

@ArloSmartHome I will never trust your products again. If you can do this to earlier models, what's stopping you from EOL-ing current models a couple of years down the road? Why would I *upgrade* to new models when you can just pull the infrastructural support for it later?

  • mrspeeed4 mrspeeed (@mrspeeed4) reported

    @ArloSmartHome Product is garbage

  • MerenessAlex Alex Mereness (@MerenessAlex) reported

@ArloSmartHome I’ve spent well over $700 into this system, based on promises and claims made by you. It’s disappointing that you now choose to go back on said promises, I understand not supporting old hardware, but effectively bricking/paywalling the system unless more money is spent is trash.

  • gaaiz Gaaiz (@gaaiz) reported

@ArloSmartHome It was clearly a big mistake advising your products to my friends and family, which I now have to explain this terrible EOL decision. Off course will tell them not to use Arlo products ever again after his little stunt.

  • BeljicaPeak BeljicaPeak (@BeljicaPeak) reported

@ArloSmartHome Betcha the arbitrary EOL feature removal = class action. No plans to ever spend time and money on Arlo in the future. Arlo couldn’t even make its touted geofencing function reliably and regularly service was down. Now we are rewarded with EOL. Not me.

  • GCWebDesigner Mike Hancock (@GCWebDesigner) reported

@ArloSmartHome Absolute trash. Never ever buy Arlo.

  • WisconsinSport6 Hot Dice (@WisconsinSport6) reported

@ArloSmartHome Former customer here. Don't buy Arlo. Whatever they promise now they'll change after you buy it. This company is in bad financial shape and will take your money and run. Beware.

Just learned that as of Jan 1, 2023 @ArloSmartHome is ******* all their customers and the equipment we have installed in going to end up in the trash.

  • Isucceed John Bailey (@Isucceed) reported

@ArloSmartHome Too bad to hear about your #EndOfLife. It's always sad to see a company going out of business. Good luck with your next endeavors.

  • Shaydieblue Shaydie Blue (@Shaydieblue) reported

I should have listened to the reviews @ArloSmartHome had terrible customer service reviews for a reason. Buy something else. Not this.

  • U_R_Not_A_Woman Pepe Reporting (@U_R_Not_A_Woman) reported

@ArloSmartHome So you can EOL this product too and not support the hardware that I paid more for? No thanks no one wants your ****.

  • TheTruthSekr Spicy Bits 🤡 Show (@TheTruthSekr) reported

@Arlo can go F off... Your EOL policy on 4-year old cameras is the last straw. Arlo has made many fumbles & poor service over the years, but I'm searching for new options, and when I find my replacement, I'm telling the whole world. @ArloSmartHome isn't a very smart company
