Tim Douglas (@awesomedud69) reported@googlenest Hi I have a 3rd generation thermostat that went out of warranty last year. Wifi no longer works on it and apparently it's a known issue. Everything else still works. Called tech support and they tried everything. I assume I'm out of luck on a 3 year old thermostat?

But wtf, you just pull all smart functions and no longer connects to app. You made it dumber instead of just stopping the progress. It’s messed up.

The lady I asked if they had a backup battery option because our association harasses us by cutting the power. They don't know that @googlenest makes a power connector that connects to the furnace. No laws broken Karen.
