Google Nest Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • superandroidguy Matthew (@superandroidguy) reported

@googlenesthelp my Nest thermostat suddenly can't find any WiFi networks. Any ideas? Help?

  • jroach_8 Jeremy Roschyk (@jroach_8) reported

@googlenesthelp Issue started a few days ago. No moves or changes to routers or networks. Restarted routers, didn’t help. Restarted Nest Thermostat, didn’t help. Phones placed next to Thermostat receive WiFi from multiple networks, Thermostat does not register any.

  • BIGT_007 Big T (@BIGT_007) reported

@googlenesthelp I’ve already removed the base as the short was causing issues with my other thermostats. No errors but the battery drained and WiFi turned off which alerted me to the issue, was also short cycling the AC. I swapped the base from another thermostat to confirm it was the base.

  • OttavioGM Ottavio (Otto) G Marasco (@OttavioGM) reported

@googlenesthelp Once again my Google Nest Mini has lost connection to my WiFi. An ongoing problem that my Google Home and, Nest Hub Max does not have. Spent considerable time few days ago sorting it out while following instructions from your team after sending a DM. Options?

  • BIGT_007 Big T (@BIGT_007) reported

@googlenesthelp I had an issue with a Nest Thermostat 3rd gen base after a thunderstorm where the base was shorting out on the C wire causing the temp of the wire to rise on that thermostat and others on the same AC controller. Curious is engineering has seen this before.

  • wesdizzle93 Wesley Miller (@wesdizzle93) reported

Hey @googlenesthelp I spent weeks emailing support only for them to confirm that my Nest Guard is broken but say that it's out of warranty and won't be replaced, despite it being less than two years old. Several hundred dollars of home security devices are entirely useless now.

  • jaysonwhelpley Jayson Whelpley (@jaysonwhelpley) reported

@googlenesthelp Do you have an ETA on that fix?

  • Ma1evo1ent Kay Regis (@Ma1evo1ent) reported

@googlenesthelp my nest unit won't detect any wifi connections. Please help!

  • 536b616a Skaja 🇨🇿 (@536b616a) reported

Google Nest @googlenest is not working with IFTTT @IFTTT service as acapella TTS speaker if Ewelink is trigged. ----- > Means IF Motion sensor activated = then = Google Nest will tell something what i want !!!

  • shoulderstweet Alan Clarke (@shoulderstweet) reported

@googlenesthelp Thanks for prompt reply, I got it back online by removing it and re-adding, my real issue is I didn’t know it was offline for 2 days, just happened to check the app. Can’t see a way to turn notifications on to tell me if it’s offline again

  • tradinspartacus $partacu$ 👊💢💰 (@tradinspartacus) reported

Bought 4 new Nest thermostats in Dec. 6 months after they are damaging my furnace and A/C. Fix is to add power connectors. 8+ hours of getting the run around from cust service, Google will only send me 1, which I need 4. Junk @googlenest @madebygoogle I may have to buy @ecobee

  • jroach_8 Jeremy Roschyk (@jroach_8) reported

@googlenesthelp Our thermostat no longer registers any WiFi networks. I check our 2 networks, both operating and phones operate on network right next to Nest. Nest restart did not help either. What do I do next?

  • krtkram KARTHIK KADAMBI (@krtkram) reported

@googlenesthelp I am in India and I know you folks don’t support nest WiFi even though I got it from us. Also it was working fine till the recent firmware update .. everything was screwed by the update.. instead of looking what’s the issue with firmware you are telling to check with isp.

  • sircoynie Sircoynie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (@sircoynie) reported

@googlenesthelp Thanks for checking up. I believe it was @ASUS issue (not that I got ANY support!) appears they disable IPv6 on local lan by default. Enabling appeared to fix the issue.

  • shoulderstweet Alan Clarke (@shoulderstweet) reported

@googlenesthelp got 3 new protects, putting aside the bizarre and inconvenient backplate incompatibility with the 1st gen product one device has been offline for 2 days since install and I haven’t received notification, please tell me how to fix this notification issue.
