@googlenesthelp Google wifi 2016 suddenly drop download speeds to 1/3 every day. Restart fixes it only to reoccur later in day. No other devices soaking up bandwidth. Worked perfectly for years- a bad firmware update, or is my primary pod at hardware fault?

@googlenesthelp I’m not sure how to check which I have? The unit’s back says K7KMNL and the app says Model Display 4.8, I don’t know if either is what you’re looking for. The unit itself displays the temperature, it’s solely an app issue. The app is version 5.68.0. I’m in Canada.

@bradfitz @googlenest I hate google home/wifi with the fury of a thousand suns. The hardware has also been terrible so i literally two days ago ripped it all out. And now the app sends me notifications about the access points being offline. I could fill an entire thread just with how bad it is.

@jonmaddison @googlenest @NodeRED That’s a bit poor and surely a basic requirement for a thermostat that’s been out for a while? We have Heatmiser here as Nest couldn’t manage underfloor heating when we had it installed, it’s a decent system even if the interface is a bit clunky

@PETERSYOUNG Might be worth looking at @googlenest or equivalent. I often down regulate thermostat as a result of checking it. Obs won't help electric though.

@googlenesthelp @googlenest since the latest ios update on the nest app… I can’t get an video’s to load… I have another phone with pre updated version and it loads no problem … latest version if you scroll to a time it just freezes and nothing? How do I go back?

Anyone else having a hard time playing @KFIam640 on their @googlenest because it keeps thinking you said "KKFI"? Just started like yesterday and its absurd, no matter how slow I say it. I can't figure out how to make it stop happening like 9 out of 10 times. @googlenesthelp

just spoke to nestSupport turns out theres no replacement for the Heat Link controller therefore your Nest Thermostat (£200+) device is than compleatly unusable if it goes wrong. Thats the worst decision any company could make. @googlenest next step is to bin it than ??

@googlenesthelp yeah can’t log into my gmail account. It sends me a code to recover my username with no issue but only gives me the option to send a text with a code to recover password, and no other option like email code or call for code 😞

Google @googlenesthelp Nest thermostat is hands down the single worst product I’ve ever used. Just woken up yet again at 12.30am to sweltering heat despite the temperature being set to 9 degrees and then switched off entirely. This thing is so bad it’s shameful. And dangerous
