    @GoogleNestHelp Bug report for Nest 4th Gen (v2.4). Following a 33hr ISP outage, both thermostats failed to auto-reconnect once WAN returned. Because Master PIN lock was enabled, I couldn't fix it remotely. Had to send someone to manually enter PIN & restart hardware. The Wi-Fi stack needs an infinite exponential backoff retry loop or autonomous reboot when offline >24hrs. This ruins use for vacation homes. Please escalate to engineering. It went 3 weeks without connectivity due to this issue.

    @googlenest From what I’ve read and researched there’s a major glitch in your system that won’t allow you to change your phone number to link it up to the thermostat.. now it’s sort of becomes useless doesn’t it and I have to spend money to buy a new one.

    @googlenesthelp I'd prefer to keep this public so others can learn from the issue, the simple fact is Google have dropped the ball on the Hot Water side of the options in Home, scheduling isn't possible whether new or existing which makes it absolutely useless to switch form Nest to Home
