@googlenesthelp Sure, I m in Canada and I believe the issue started a couple of weeks ago.

  • Dustin_Dominiak Dustin Dominiak (@Dustin_Dominiak) reported

@googlenest Also @googlenest it's funny you mention wifi, as this thermostat can't find my wifi network. It says it can't find any wifi network, which is weird because the other 30 devices I have find/connect without any issue

  • SkyWriterAz Sky Writer (@SkyWriterAz) reported

@googlenest Only issue is what device to get next 🙈

  • E2da2ndpower Erick Morris (@E2da2ndpower) reported

@googlenesthelp Hello Im having problems with my wifi on my nest thermostat e. I have tried all of the trouble suggestion and still nothing. My second Nest thermostat E works fine so I know its not the network. please help.

  • Pyxaron Pyxaron (@Pyxaron) reported

@googlenest This has been an ongoing issue for weeks, it's not a matter of rebooting. I really just need a way to make it cast like a normal tab and ignore the CBC Gem chromecast app-thing.

  • delzhand Derek Adams (@delzhand) reported

@googlenest Well, they work most of the time, so I haven't had a chance to try the sync command yet. Sometimes if I have to unplug a device and move it I'll run into the issue but I haven't needed to do that recently.

  • halfkxsquared Pete Lindgren (@halfkxsquared) reported

@googlenest Sorry - I can see I was ambiguous above. I got a power supply from a chromecast audio that I knew to be working. I tried it in the chromecast that is not working, and it had no impact. Still orange-white-orange.

  • Kenil21004402 Kenil (@Kenil21004402) reported

@googlenest I have a Google nest but every day it will disconnect from the network and won't set off my alarms, i then have to fully reset my Google nest every day, we have another Google nest which does not get this problem, is this because of my network or a nest problem.

  • halfkxsquared Pete Lindgren (@halfkxsquared) reported

@googlenest thanks for replying. I've removed and replaced power, I've tried adding as a new device in Home app (it doesn't get found at all), I've tried all manner of ways of holding the button down but the orange-white-orange resumes as soon as I release so doesn't appear to factory reset.

  • HARD2KN0CK Hard2knock (@HARD2KN0CK) reported

@Brooklynwatch @googlenesthelp Yeap not working on my end as well...

  • fleckd David Fleck (@fleckd) reported

@googlenest I have two Google WiFi mesh routers covering my house. The devices are directly between them. The issue is even after set up, I could control one bulb and not the other and then that would change. That's not a reliable enough experience.

  • au_tom_otive Tom Callow (@au_tom_otive) reported

So, @googlenesthelp has identified a chip fault in my Thermostat display (installed new in November 2020). Rather than just sending me a new one stat (ha!) as it’s under warranty until 2024, it’s asking me to pay for a new unit. Seems a pretty poor policy! @shonaghosh @ruskin147

  • Pyxaron Pyxaron (@Pyxaron) reported

@googlenest I can force disconnect by pulling the power on the chromecast, but that's pretty inconvenient considering the TV is wall-mounted with the chromecast hidden behind it. Casting a tab or the desktop never causes this kind of issue.

  • donedad jrmalive211 (@donedad) reported

@googlenesthelp Hi. My new Google Nest Learning Thermostat will no longer connect to the wifi network or the app. I have tried resetting the router and the nest. I have tried to manually input the network and pw. Help!

@googlenesthelp We’re in the US. This has been an issue since we installed it 3 days ago.
