  Amazon is ordering major script rewrites for the Mass Effect TV series. They want to modernize it. It’s the same old story where a studio takes a loved universe and starts hacking away at it because they think they know better than the source material. I want to enjoy a space opera without a lecture. Especially one where I’m not wondering if the writers even liked the original game or if they’re just trying to "fix" something that wasn't broken. Usually, when a show gets ordered to undergo massive rewrites to make it more accessible or modern, it just means they're stripping out the soul and the grit that made people care in the first place. Amazon has a habit of doing this to established franchises. We’re likely in for another project that values a message over the actual craftsmanship of the world. Expect the worst.

  @MagicMushMM I had no problem with foot missions at all and were welcome additions. I truly love 64, but another remake? Personally, a complete reboot of it that implements stuff from like Mass Effect including recruitment of all or some pilots and loyalty missions of sorts would be awesome.

  @gerogeroR I think a sci fi that actually shows the difficulty of a multispecies federation that doesn't gloss over the trouble caused by distinct life would be interesting. Mass effect got the closest but they still showed things mostly functioning normally on the citadel.

  @moonchild23580 I don't smoke or drink. Had an alcoholic and chain smoking father. Never want my kids to see anything like that. It was awful. But for me.. I'll get lost in music . Tv.. movies . Or the biggest one video games. Games like Skyrim, fallout 4, starfield or the mass effect series. Those help me a lot with my issues.

  @kalaelizabeth "chuds" made it a punching bag because the game was not up to standard for a mass effect game. people didnt like it because they have high praise for mass effect, until devs, etc realize this they will never discover that it is their problem to fix, not ours

  @IGN From what I saw the problem was the writing, not the VA. The writing was close to cringe Mass Effect Andromeda.

  @SaraJoan11 You're making assumptions for everyone that played it. Like I and many have said, there were other problems with the game competely outside Shepard and their legacy. Having legacy at all can artificially boost a game. Who's to say without the Mass Effect brand the game would have even burst out of obscurity? Just because you enjoy the game enough to make a twitter page about it, doesn't mean others can't seperate their bias and fairly judge. You can like what you like but condescending to me doesn't change the facts. The game was rushed out the door and by doing so, a lot suffered. The pacing was off, the story wasn't incredibly cohesive, the characters weren't as compelling as they could be, it was riddled with bugs and problems, there was no real consequence to choice, the open world structure wasn't developed properly, etc. If a game can't grow on it's own at release, it is not healthy.

  @CraigHarris456 @Silverbolt_1985 @ashestoashleys Cerberus in ME1 and ME2 may as well be two different organizations and that's the problem. I played a paragon Shep, he was not cool with working with Cerberus and they give you so little agency to voice that. Doesn't feel Mass Effect-y

  Apologies for ending the Mass Effect 3 stream early. The audio issues between the quiet dialogue and overly loud SFX were creating a frankly awful viewer experience. I am definitely going to try and find a way to fix that for next time.

  @Infrastructur31 @mrpyo1 There are native HDR support in Mass Effect Legendary Edition (ME1, ME2, ME3). If you have a good HDR capable display, then why not use HDR instead of SDR. The fix in the video is very easy to do.

  @DanticsOfficial The Mass Effect trilogy was BioWares Mangum Opus. They tried chasing that high again with their sequel game Andromeda but that fell flat. And then they tried chasing the live service model with Anthem and look at how that turned out. And finally they tried chasing the modern audience with Dragon Age: The Veilgaurd…
