    @playnewworld I think the subscription model is the way forward for MMOs. The way this game was monetized was very fair to the consumer, but not sustainable in the eyes of money hungry amazon. Creating and maintaining a live service MMO is a money pit and new world wasn’t bring in the $$$.

    @towelthetank @summit1g @playnewworld Dude. If people love the game. They need to spend money on it. Plain and simple. This is a live service product with a cash shop. Be real.

    @Sensiblelogic06 @S_Berry_82 @playnewworld Again. Player retention was not an issue for the game to operate, as Amazon was fine operating the game with an average of 8-10k for 3-4 years. It's not like they were expected to have 1 MILLION players for 5 years.

    @playnewworld Guys c’mon. The dialogue skipping still hasn’t been fixed. What ******** guys. Please fix this ****, I can’t listen to a conversation without skipping dialogue when I press the next button.

    @playnewworld Pathetic. Even EQ still has live servers that dedicated players are able to still play on. We now know we can never trust any future products of Amazon Games or their cloud gaming service “Luna”

    @SometimesClutch @ShultsyPlays @playnewworld Not correct. Guild Wars 2 doesn’t have a sub and is still running. There are other games that function this way as well. The problem is that they botched the launch and damaged their image. Which I may add is the most important problem.

    @playnewworld So basically they are shutting the servers down at the end of 2026 but still allowing people to make in game purchases of their "premium" currency. Unreal.

    @playnewworld are the servers down? Strange things are going on for me and a buddy. Says no world activity,US West, El Dorado server.

    Amazon is going to pay a long term price for shutting down New World @playnewworld - Not just one game, its a long term broken promise. You take money as people build up their accounts, then abandon them. Forget @playtlgame - People will quit/avoid that too. Forget future games.

    @SavvvoGames @JeffBezos @playnewworld Games with a PvP core environment are always going to be niche, add to that an awful launch and it was always going to be an uphill struggle. Then comes along AI which will fix absolutely nothing but is CHEAP and there you go. Suits see money money money.
