Man, where to start... Are you aware that you can buy games on Xbox as well? They even give you 20% discount for being a Game Pass patron. As for the second half... Xbox makes between 400 to 500 million dollars per month. That's half a billion for average monthly revenue per user. 1 billion every 2 months is stupid money. Also, they have stated numerous times that GP is profitable. Why do you think they doubled and trippled down on it? Now they're making more money by selling on PS stores yes. But I already have IRL buddies jumping ships to PC or Xbox just for Game Pass alone. The service is ridiculously good. Now with an Xbox handheld OTW it's getting crazier with PC exclusive peeps jumping on board. Some of ya'll aren't seeing what Xbox is doing atm, they're literally infiltrating other platforms. And that's not good as well. It will create a monopoly one day. Look at the attached pictures btw. Xbox studios published 11 games this year (Team Ninja is the outlier), Sony studios only 2 on my count so far (Sucker Punch and Bungie is the outlier here). Where do you think Xbox is getting all this money pumping out games at this magnitude? Only Nintendo holds true exclusives. The days of traditional consoles died a year or 2 ago. And this is sad.

I have much less of an issue with a game like this being $80 than a Nintendo game that could have been made two gens ago and that has a much smaller team and dev cycle. It's just where the industry is going.

Nintendo predicts 15 million Switch 2 units sold by March 2026, including the 3 million sold in the first 24 hours. This leaves about 12 million more units expected by then. For 2025 alone, analysts estimate 13-14.7 million units, suggesting 10-11.7 million additional sales this year. Strong demand and popular games like Mario Kart World support these numbers, but higher prices ($449.99) and potential U.S. tariffs could slow sales. Supply issues may also persist until January 2026. Forecasts vary, and actual sales depend on market conditions.

@Grummz I don't think $80 Nintendo games are the biggest problem. Remember how much N64 games cost? The problem to me is that Nintendo never discounts their games. Older games never go down in price. That's so greedy and evil. I hate it.

It’s the exact same console, same components… even the same broken controllers that drift. Stick to the switch 1 and give it like 5 years until nintendo actually innovates and makes an original console again.

There are only a few things I agree with Nintendo on but most of everything they have done...I do not support. All I can be thankful for is that they made online subscriptions cheaper than Xbox and even PlayStation. At least more affordable. I don't like that they made their online service a subscription based thing just to follow along with PlayStation and Xbox but I am happy that they are cheaper for me to afford.

@8BitDo heads up, Nintendo updated the Switch 1 again and the "USB Wireless Adapter 2" is not working... Again. The system recognizes a controller but the controller won't function. (Buttons and directionals do not register). And I just updated to the latest firmware

@ChurchOfMoons The problem isn't that nintendo can reasonably charge $80 because their software is usually worth it. The problem is that Ubisoft, EA and all the other mass market slopware companies are going to charge $80 and the games aren't worth it.

wait I just realized this means Nintendo *lied* in their compatibility data. Pikmin 3 was not in any of the lists of problematic games, meaning Nintendo was insinuating the game worked perfectly. Yet here the game is completely not working.

But I was not meaned any of these things. You was just assumed I meant that but I wrote something else. Yes, I wrote it is risky, I still think that and if this risk will not go well then PS and Nintendo lost competitor and on the contrary, they will hardlock more games into consoles than before because will have enough of users for that. But yeah, I also think would be good if Xbox would go well with console working along PC system. But what I was really critizing that Xbox Rog Ally do not solving any of that. It is Xbox device that do not working at Xbox system. It is just next Win device just optimised to compete with Steam OS. That is only purpose of device.

@antdude92 I'm not surprised. Nintendo has a major shovelware problem. They allow this game to be on the eShop and yet games like Neptunia Re;birth, Menhera Farm and others are denied. Know what I call this? Hypocrisy.

@Xtremeisthebest @Pirat_Nation Nintendo is doing the LEAST. thats the problem. Nintendo runs pokemon btw, they have some say in how it works & the funding for it. if the game is *** we can blame the runners of the pokemon series but its also owned by Nintendo who oversees it, some fault is on them

@Nintendo The Legend of Zelda movie delay to May 7, 2027, is due to "production reasons," likely to ensure quality, as stated by Miyamoto. This is the first delay since the March 2027 date was set in 2025. No evidence supports prior delays, though the long development since 2023 may feel like multiple postponements. Fans are split—some are frustrated, others back the focus on quality. Details on specific production issues are unclear, so the exact cause remains speculative.
