@Nerdcognito Disagree with quite a few people here. Lawful evil paladins exist. Lawful is the critical component. A knight completely dedicated to the service of an evil deity. Don't really agree with the human only thing either, doesn't really make sense.

@Nerdcognito 5e paladins are not the same as 1e. So, no this isn't a 1e paladin. But, this does demonstrate what happens when a game system tries to deviate from tropes and stereotypes to pander to social issues. Next we'll be deciding Orcs are just people, and Dwarves are bakers not miners.

@squidorabl @Nerdcognito 5e did away with the LG requirement which is what he’s getting to. Vengeance paladins have a license to be mean. However. Paladins meting out a death penalty can be a lawful good action in the right circumstances. Torturing might not have broken the oath which is different.

While public-service paladin companies all serve the New World Order of Paladins, private-service ones take out service contracts for the public (no the irony is not lost on me). Therefore, they both are paid per-mission and must go without any major government funding.

@UrielOrionson @OGCrimsonJester Alignment has only been an issue because of Paladins, and the endless competition between players wanting the LG powers while being raging murderhoboes, and DMs trying to "trap" them into an alignment change. One good thing about 4/5e is ending that ****.

1st I get a ******* bad headache which still hurts... 2nd I crash multiple times in Paladins, my Team trashtalks me because I crashed and plays bad af 3rd a friend of mine just told me she wishes to not be here anymore from today on... Can this day/evening get any worse...? :(

I find it odd that in the past, when people actually understood that Paladins were good and that demons were evil, that we had no problem with Alignment. But now, in today's wacky world, all of a sudden…

@drfoxweyman Prob same reason why we're losing paladins too, poorly optimized for the switch, too many errors and bugs. They don't wanna deal with it anymore and rather focus on the other ports instead.

@DenzelChambrey Ow2 is basically paladins if it had an actual balance team (most if not all heroes are relatively viable in the current meta) It's also really polished, and they do fix game breaking bugs when they do crop up. I've literally never crashed in overwatch.

Hirez needs to give the Paladins ranked servers a look pronto. 2 ranked games today with intense server lag. On the second one, 8 players disconnected. As well several days earlier, it has been super laggy...
