    @signalapp @prestonjbyrne Life is a multi-obejctive optimization problem - child safety is one important objective, privacy is another important objective (Iranians would love more privacy from their state). Maxing out a single objective when the price of that is sacrificing all else is a bad policy.

    When I want to transfer data from desktop (without a camera) to mobile @signalapp, I open the desktop QR , then I select "Transfer from other device" on mobile and get another QR. What next? Scan QR by QR? Maybe you have mental problems to create such a stupid flow.

    @notesnook @signalapp Signal devs must lead the way leading other devs to takre control back. They should guide other devs. Yet they follow common protocols and win stupid prices like this. Then cry for Apple support to help them fix things. I expect better from Signal. (n/n)

    @yrschrade @orithellama @signalapp You need more than that. It’s not the encryption that’s the problem with Signal, it’s the pre exposed mobile number and by extension home address

    @carolecadwalla @signalapp Musk is a problem that needs to be dealt with entirely separately from protecting children from material our society has decided to bar them from. Musk and his like are a separate problem we MUST deal with anyhow. Using them as an excuse to avoid helping kids is absurd

    @LabDRN @signalapp A better way to do this is to only switch the service on for childs' phones. The parents do that when they set up the phone. No dig ID needed.
