    @Tech_Temp_ @signalapp Surely tech people will find a way and create privacy focused content like we always did. You’re missing my point. I’m saying for everyday people and mainstream devices being scanned for the huge problem of children trafficking. I’ve reported a few cases of such on this app even.

    @signalapp If used fraudulently this software could be used to scan bank accounts and other financial and data critical ones like passwords. This is not the way to control the problem and should be controlled through the data centres etc.

    @signalapp They wreck and mismanage the economy. Making ordinary life including raising children, having a family difficult and broken. Two parents are overworked and they know it. Children are growing up without efficient parental guidance. Government comes in with a big stick. Cowards.

    @PaulSmithDM @signalapp I thought "crap parents are so terrified of" might have been a clue that I agree with you completely. The missing tone of voice makes it harder though. I regard this "ooh the kiddies" as utterly despicable. The problem now is to find a party that won't do it.

    @signalapp @404mediaco Feels bigger than a bug more like an iOS notification design issue. Could’ve affected all E2EE apps, not just Signal. What about notifications already in iCloud backups?

    Signal security with CAPTCHA is non-sense. I cannot pass it for 3 days, manually with my agents. I need to assign a new number, and I've been throttled after just several attempts (it was carrier issues). @signalapp can you be less idiotic, please?

    My mistake, folks. Sorry. I was on an old computer with Debian 11, and I was tired. There is no problem with Signal Desktop @signalapp in @debian 12 and 13.

    @chardidathing @signalapp I can see why, although having a fork has some limitations. How would would I keep? How much would I change? If I start forking and just change most of it, it's as good as a new project anyway. Besides, the parity issue happens with the clients of most apps, even simple forks

    @signalapp 0 trust is the way. Demons can slip in and out of souls and can potentially cause a number of issues. We should “try” to give people cyber security on their devices with select individuals granted scanning access with AI tools.
