    @signalapp @404mediaco Feels bigger than a bug more like an iOS notification design issue. Could’ve affected all E2EE apps, not just Signal. What about notifications already in iCloud backups?

    @signalapp is the app down or something, things were fine for days now me messages take forever to go through, but even when they become two circles with a checkmark they never fill anymore and I get no responses???

    @durov @durov the early OTF grants (2013-2016) for @signalapp are publicly documented. This might create a perception issue for its independence but doesn’t prove active/ongoing US gov backing or influence. Or you have other information?

    @nullc0py @signalapp @404mediaco Of course that _could_ be a feature, but: - many receiving such messages would think something is broken - the recipient must have control of their own device's behavior over the sender - the real risk is the human at the other end most of the time

    @nyakojiru @mer__edith @signalapp 6. **Mandatory IP protection**: Built-in Tor (or equivalent) for every connection, non-disableable. This would severely degrade the service. Just use a VPN.

    Apple kind of fixed the @signalapp notification cache issue. Admitted a notification log issue, yet the iOS apps still require deleting to remove cache.

    @BrendanEich @signalapp How !? Just disable notifications in the Signal settings and you can mitigate. Maybe it should be default and should come with a warning for users when activated. But the real issue is with iOS being garbage.
