  @signalapp The problem I have with all this **** is, it will never be used for "justice". It will only ever be used for "control". They proved it to us with the lock-downs. "YOU" got tackled, and abused by cops for trying to walk on the beach, "THEY" got to dine at restaurants,without masks

  Signal keeps nagging to enable push notifications, with no way to stop the nags. User-hostile not user-first, and now shown to be insecure. Please fix both bugs: allow nag-stopping, an easy fix; and (if you can) avoid insecure iOS-layer push notification database, @signalapp!

  Firebase Phone Number Verification going GA matters far beyond developer convenience. In countries like #Iran, where SMS verification codes are often blocked or unreliable, SMS-less phone verification could help users register for secure apps — if adopted by apps like @signalapp.
