@cillic @youngd241 @signalapp The show them how, write them instead of public, and tell them technically based on their code how without breaking their system. Their blog flat out states they want a better solution and want people to help. I don't have the tech chops to do that.

I'm having a usability problem with @signalapp that just bit me for the third time. Signal is my default texting app and it has the very nice behaviour that if the recipient has Signal, the message is sent encrypted, and if they don't, it falls back to SMS. However, 1/6

@muchnerve @signalapp you do get broken mms messages sometimes and then it keeps resending them to you every 12 hours for a week, still broken every time.

@signalapp Restoring a backup is extremely buggy. Sometimes it'll count up messages found after I enter my passphrase, then crashes. Sometimes it'll not even allow me to enter my passphrase after I select my backup file, and skip to entering my phone number. Help would be great!

@Agisilaos_K @di0v0n @signalapp Wait what? What do you mean it doesn't help? If someone phone gets hacked they only have access to the phone and not the pin inside the app no or the locked app? Therefore if you have different pin/password it should block anyone from accessing it?

@SiliconShecky @youngd241 @signalapp Its all about consent. I can get your contact information and add it to my phone without your consent. And then signal will let me know if you're using it for secure coms. Again, it's a terrible practice for an ap that says its about privacy.

@signalapp I’m no longer getting push notification on iPhone no matter how many times I check my settings, reregister for push notifications, update my app or restart my phone. It renders the app pretty dysfunctional if I have to open it to see I have a message. Help!

@WillBall12 @rushworth_a I'm using @signalapp. There's a slow trickle of people joining, with spikes related to news series of dastardly WhatsApp. But network effects are always an issue for folk migrating. A pita that it's not possible to message between providers.

@StanvHouten @signalapp No, the error message clearly says: "The owner of this website has blocked your IP" it is probably not Signal, it is the merch company that they are working with And yes I do live in Syria
