@signalapp Since yesterday, I can’t use Signal on my iPhone 13 Pro anymore. Every time I open the app it automatically closes after some seconds. Furthermore, I can’t receive new messages. On my Mac app, however, everything works. Restarted all devices already. Pls help 🙏

Hi @signalapp, I'm unable to receive verification codes via my mobile number, contacted my network provider and no help from that side as well. Are there other ways users could receive verification codes asides via SMS or calls? What about emails, etc? I've been locked out!!

@eyefnwin_RG @signalapp I don't see a problem here, because via DM I was just asked to use the support function within the app, which I did. And regarding the push notifications: as I understand it, they are already working on this problem. I personally hope for a solution in one of the next versions.

@signalapp Note: I understand there is a setting to disable the notification, but it's enabled by default and it only disables incoming, not outgoing. Doesn't solve the privacy issue either way.

@mostly_bsd @signalapp @FreeBSDHelp That specific config doesn’t (they are for in jail port bulding commands). I don’t know how far you can get for poudriere root. At least jail creation needs root, but I’ve never tried. See how far you get? Also you can jail poudriere, which might help?

@hacks4pancakes @signalapp Long time Signal user and advocate here; yeah I agree it's a problem. I propose they set up an ignore tag that can remove individual entries from contacts during sync, and simultaneously hide your own number from that same contact. I'm not an experienced coder though.

@signalapp i’ve recently noticed that I can’t reply to messages ride from the notification/action sander in Windows 10 and 11, using Signal desktop could you please fix this? It would be easier to reply from a notification center in windows, thank you.

@hacks4pancakes @signalapp I respectfully disagree that notifications are a privacy issue because you can see all of your contacts in the app anyway. However, if you said linking signal to a phone number is a privacy issue I would agree 100%.

Using bots that automatically close "stale" issues or bug reports in your project is borderline disrespectful to your contributors. Either make a conscious decision to close the issue manually or leave it open so someone may come up with more info. I'm looking a t you @signalapp

@AlecMuffett @signalapp Yes XMPP's spam problems are more manageable because it's not all that popular, and it would probably be better for everyone if big commercial services didn't fully open. But XMPP does show that it's certainly possible to add new features to a federated system.

@signalapp The app has been crashing on my iPhone XS immediately on startup for days now after updating! I sent my crash log to your support email but it seems lots of people are having this issue. I myself have experienced this twice now. Will this be a reoccurring issue? 😓

@JeremyRubin @signalapp @moxie Snapchat has a similar issue. Some of my friends have asked why I fall out of contact with them and don't engage as much and it's because their face disappears below the fold and I don't scroll down unless I need that person. It's my lazy version of the Myspace Top 8.
