Signal is a free and open source app, developed by a non-profit organisation because they care about (your) privacy. So be nice to them. This is not a company selling you a service (or selling your data for profit).

I wish an expedited server or app update would have handled the outage more gracefully.

Izzy (@izzydamus) reportedIf you're getting "bad encrypted messages" from people you chat with in Signal, hit the 3 dots to bring up settings within that particular one on one chat and select "Reset secure connection." That should at least resolve that issue so you can see their following msgs @signalapp
