@GwynbleiddiuM @signalapp @windscribecom (their twitter says „meme focused“ but if you look into their privacy policy and comparisons with other VPNs it gets clear that they are good. Only real downside is that they‘re based in Canada, but if you‘re not doing anything the FBI doesn‘t like, that shouldn‘t be a problem)

@signalapp Unfortunately, severe censorship is rampant in Iran, and Facebook has always supported the Iranian government. There is not much help from the international community to deal with this situation. Thank you for your effort.

@theyblinked @signalapp I’m worried the people running signal are going to get the app into trouble and cause regulators to try and wreak it. The addition of PINs was already troubling.

@theyblinked @signalapp I’m actually pretty surprised someone hasn’t built it already. Distributed mesh Twitter. The problem I suspect is there’s not practical way to index it. BitTorrent needs trackers, IP needs DNS, etc. As far as I know nobody has quite cracked that nut. OpenID came close?

Signal (@signalapp) is getting flack for being too private. Bad actors can abuse groups and the potential anonymous payment system. Easily solved: add limits. Why would you want a group bigger than 10 or more than 100$|€|£? Not perfect, but It culls most of the problem.

@signalapp Please never stop in your efforts to make this Internet a better place! I'll think of ways I could help. Probably this will require a way to handle misuse, but not literally. Think like we handle misuse of a knife. Not banning it's sales. It also helps to feed & defend families!

@pledgeforeurope @signalapp I ended up uninstalling it and starting again. Lost some unopened messages but seems now to work. Fingers crossed it is now operational. I don't recall ever being asked for a passphrase hence the problems.
