@ChrisHoodAU Skype could just ‘go down’ a lot, and teams seems to be much more stable. Would really suck if it ‘went down’ at critical points like 9am in the morning so everyone would have to use teams.

@Sidowski I've just come off a Skype call from a supplier in China, its 'normal' there now. But they locked down very hard, in a democracy that level couldn't happen. Its also people that spread the virus, not the government, if people took the rules more seriously we'd be better off.

One of the big hurdles is a general lack of proper support for GNU/Linux in popular (collaborative) software such as Skype, Teams, Slack. None of these have decent support for screen sharing, etc, which has made the whole WFH experience more terrible than necessary.

**** that 5 person ****. If you don't NEED that person in your home for the next 4 weeks, skype. 1 person per household out to the stores and go once a week if you can help it. Think Defcon April 2020. It's now or wait till summer to get this under control.

@GaneshSP47 overzealous kalendar chhaap peepal! my previous team was so nice. once i left a msg on skype regarding some issue coz he was away. He said call me anytime dude. if I cant take it, will return it ASAP. And the mgr clubbed most meetings together. agenda based, outcome driven :-)
