@SpotifyCares no need to, i updated all apps and reinstalled spotify AFTER iOS update, which resolved the issue. I assume some changes were made in GUI code execution, which got stuck somewhere. If someone has similar issue, this should help.

@SpotifyCares i tried to both offload and reinstall the app, it still keeps frozen. I can play music via Siri, so it seems like there is some issue with GUI thread getting stuck

@spotifypodcasts should get their own app so all could get a better service. Podcasts would be better with more tailored playback options and other Podcast specific features. Us who subscribe to Spotify for music don't have to get them forced on the Home Screen. @SpotifyCares
