@TwitchSupport Not only are the measures taken proven to be ineffective but small - medium size channels that do NOT bot, are usually the most affected. Would still like a fix for counting lurkers as viewers 👉👈 We have proven our channels have been hurt but no solution to this since it was enacted last year, Twitch has always said lurkers are the backbone but the actions don’t align with that at all😞

@TwitchSupport You know how Twitch has a atreamer discovery problem and Stream Together skews categories when larger streamers join up? Why not make it so affiliates who've been streaming in a category for, say, several months consistently, can apply to be in a 'spotlight' near the category top? Similar to how partners can apply for home page. It could require a modest average viewer count, too (maybe).

@KazamaVT @lunimoon05 @TwitchSupport So how does it hurt anything to be able to build up a balance while you work your way to affiliate? then when you hit affiliate withdraw it all?

@ToastFPS @Crisendo @TwitchSupport "Any 1000 viewer stream is usually going to be higher quality than any 2 viewer stream." But if a stream is botted to look like it has 1000 viewers instead of 2, then that magically makes it a higher quality stream? No it doesn't, so that logic fails.

@BigD_204 @TwitchSupport its a hard game out there, it took me like 2 years and i only managed that because i got lucky with enough friends come into my chat. and it wasn't like i was not working on improving my stream, my ability as a creator or the skills for the field. in many regards a creator can be doing all the right things and even then due to a lack of proper discoverability features it makes it hard to get that affiliate.

@TwitchSupport Are you trying to push streamers off your platform? You do know there is a way to prevent bots from making an account to begin with. Not only that but can also Prevent, not help stop or potentially help but 100% Stop further veiw botting from happening in the future.

    DDoubleU (@DDoubleVT) reported

@TwitchSupport Thank goodness, I was worried that I would have to astroturf or bot to get affiliate for something as basic as emotes because hard work does not pay off 🙏

  • Quindodark
    Quindo (@Quindodark) reported

@TermitesRGood @TwitchSupport The issue with doing that is now anyone can use viewbotting to attack a streamer they do not like. You accidentally piss off a random viewer and then they viewbot your stream to hell and cost you ALL the income.

@TwitchSupport @TwitchSupport My appeal portal is BROKEN. I have a temporary password for Case #10154148, but it says "Not eligible" and the button is locked. I need a HUMAN agent to fix this technical bug manually. Please look at my emails with the screenshots! #Twitch

  • ToastFPS
    ToastFPS (@ToastFPS) reported

@Crisendo @TwitchSupport “Most people are going to RELATE a higher viewership with a higher tier of content”. If you needed to read that again, and it’s usually true is most cases. Any 1000 viewer stream is usually going to be higher quality than any 2 viewer stream. Budget, experience, production are all -USUALLY- higher. There is no discoverability on twitch outside of viewership. There never has been. Thats likely never going to change.

  • NickkToast

@Joysulem @TwitchSupport That would be a terrible decision business wise. You’d be discounting legitimate viewership.

@glisky_ @TwitchSupport You assume the worst, I do, as long as they don't roll out ads at the start to give me a sneak peak into that stream while I'm "jumping" stream.

  • feckerfloat

@TermitesRGood @BestfriendKick @TwitchSupport Show me all her details, because this new system will help detect viewerbotting. If she maintains the same numbers, it proves she's genuine. You can't just say she should be at the bottom of the list or lose partner or affiliate status; you don't work for the platform. Ultimately, your opinion doesn't matter because Twitch makes those decisions. If they find Emily has done nothing wrong, you're just complaining for no reason. It's their platform and their call, and they don't care about your opinion.
