    @Timmac_ Twitch is the only streaming platform that I have to constantly lower the quality of the stream to 720 to stop it from buffering. If I have another tab open in the same browser, and that page refreshes, it causes the stream to buffer, too. Twitch needs to improve on that.

    I don’t intend to switch to YouTube as I’ve built and invested a lot into my Twitch channel. That being said I absolutely see the issues with the platform and I don’t intend to be silent about them either.

    @HemlockeStone I didn't know that about Kofi, though I'm not currently set up for donations or anything like that (in part because of PayPal issues). I didn't take the opportunity to go for Twitch affiliate, and I'm glad I didn't at this point.

    @Konman81 @JacobWolf Yeah sorry, that number is too low to not be incredibly volatile already. Of course guaranteed contracts help, but this whole comment chain skirts the point that without big streamers on Twitch, sub numbers and raids go down. Streamers need to be on multiple platforms.

    @slaya_p Someone new will fill the void. People will realize the same problems and more are to be had on youtube. So it's all for nothing really in the end. It was supposed to be the end of twitch losing that one really annoying guy and they've done just fine.

    and it’s not breaking any tos because you’re allowed to stream on other platforms as long as it’s not the same exact content as what’s being streamed to twitch at the same time! so since I’m not even streaming to twitch today it’s not a problem so don’t worry!! :D

    @sp00ky_deer @ShannonZKiller @AcademyRodgers Right? You can at least search live channels on twitch. It just seems wild not to have any sort of directory. Twitch has the problem of just SO many, but at least I can raid someone playing the same game and find other small creators on the platform.

    For background: There have been streamers getting “hate raided” by folks putting terrible stuff in chat and twitch moderation isn’t doing enough so not visiting the page today.

    @ninten866 The only issue with this solution is a growing channel often has a hard time getting people to stick around if they cant chat upon entry. I wish that aspect of twitch culture was a bit less toxic

    @officialcjac Honestly, this only takes up 10% of twitch. The other 90% is gaming.. problem is, the platforms BIGGEST streams are usually the "face" of the website... which is now the "react" and community based Just chatters.

    @Andy_Macster honestly, the fact that a 3rd party service is implementing features to address twitch's biggest problems way faster than twitch themselves is just massively embarrassing.

    Throwback to the time I did this live on Twitch only to find out the real problem is I was modifying code that wasn't even being called.
