@DHHOMIE_12 The truth is they have to care now, record labels, artist, copy right mofos are all paying attention just as they have for YouTube to years, to put it simply, twitch now is considered mainstream and has grown exponentially so they have to be more cautious with legal issues

@Twitch: We want to help and make everyone happy and feel comfortable and safe on our platform! Also Twitch: Does nothing about it OR makes it worse.

@OmnomThenom Ah yes, "SIMP", the worst possible thing to call someone, so much history of discrimination behind it, never to be used as a joke especially between friends. Thank the powers that be Twitch has fixed it all, my friends. No more hate in the world, 2021 is already looking bright.

Harassing female streamers calling them thots, ******, shameless, and ***** is fine and apart of twitch culture But lord forbid if a woman calls a man an incel, virgin, or a simp in retaliation for them harassing her. thanks for ignoring the real problem @TwitchSupport

@Twitch out here 'fixing' the biggest non issues on their platform while there are way bigger issues at hand. Sure let's not solve the copyright dilemma nah that's not important, let's ban words that at this point have become jokes and lost all original meaning, sure.

The complete lack of any feeling of Twitch caring about its creators today has left me just feeling like trash. They won't deal with DMCAm they'll push that problem onto us. They won't give us trans or disabled tags because of 'harassment'.

@BannerCarlow Help @Twitch I’m a gamer and I’m being cyber bullied

@BobaFettMain Sure, I just believe that more research is necessary and it’d be best if you look at both angles. Twitch streams have been using copyrighted music for years, and not get in trouble. While youtubers, do the same and get in trouble. They still deserve a fine, not jail time though.

@thebaesickz Ahhh it appears that it just won’t work for you in general, maybe try connecting that burner twitch account to an alt account and stream off that alt account but play on the account you were originally trying to stream off of

@Ricown That happens when it comes down to context and will probably still be an issue. What you or I may find offensive may be deemed acceptable on the context it's used in. After all, it will still be Twitch deciding in the end.

Stuff was happening so yeah... I'll be playing PSO2 (no mic?) later (3 PM +8GMT) on Twitch just to play around with the new UQ. Assuming I still have no critical work.

I don't use twitch like ever so I don't really care too much but why are so many people legit upset that potentially derogatory slurs are being added to an anti-bullying TOS? Pigeonholing people in an unfortunate situation into extreme ideologies through bullying IS a problem.

@Prof_Amezy I don't disagree, and I think anti-harassment policy should proactively target bad actors, and not just reactively censor certain terms. But that would require work from Twitch.

So this is how twitch decides to close off 2020. Not by trying to resolve the DMCA issue the is ******* the entire platform over, but by banning a word that 90% of the platform uses because someone's fefes were hurt. Good job twitch. It's like you want the platform to die.
