my issue with warframe is that they introduce a new quest line that looks really cool (that 90s stuff) and then it's like "you need to play 130hrs to reach it"

@maximojmhidalgo @JasonVo27089861 @Pirat_Nation There are good live service games that respect the player and even have support for end of life like warframe. Warframe has a client that allows people to make a private server with everything they have if the game ever went down.

@Dezachu Not necessarily hooked by it but Warframe’s battlepass system is great. Never have to pay for it, has some decent rewards. Honestly just Warframe’s whole approach to live service is S tier and should be the gold standard.

@LethargicKoopa @ShitpostRock Warframe is going strong for it's 12th year too. The simple matter is that live service as a model isn't the problem, is the companies who are too incompetent/greedy to do it properly

@hisdoubt @XboxSupport Yah and whatever this issue is has now spread to games. Try to invite your buddy to a party and it says "cannot create session" or "invite sent failed" specifically mentioning warframe and first descendant as its what my buddies and I play as a group. None of us are having luck.

I mean it has been said its supposed to **** down every january since 2022 and it keeps being pushed back to the next january And in anthems case, it fell off real fast, and it relied on servers for gear drops and such, which is how it was coded for efficiency and community accessibility. The game would become unplayable for most anyway if it was localized, for those that are left anyway. I dont agree with not allowing people to play games they paid for, but for a game like that, I can see why. Other games though, like racing games and such, theres no realistic reliance on online-only. I only see it being viable for games like destiny, anthem, warframe etc. You can take tarkov for an example. It runs like **** offline. Runs well when being played on a server. And it doesnt even have randomized drops and server-based reactive AI (I am unaware if anthem does) I will say one thing that is bad about SKG, however its not too important for one reason. If a law is signed that makes it so that games that have already been developed cant be shut down, then that would cause a huge issue for the games industry. If it gets signed into law, it should only effect games launching after it is signed (including those currently in development) Theres a huge mix of complicated nuances. But to make it short: yeah SKG is good, but only if affects future launches Also anthem is just… i love the game but its shut down is mysterious as ****

@PlayWarframe The problem with the Rhino Heirloom skin is that it is so over-designed that it no longer looks like the warframe it's based on. it's not just one aspect either, The Horns, the clothing, the weird leather Ruff... all of it deviates from his natural outline and symmetry.

@CobraFramires01 @WalugiPCMR No there are plenty of life service games that are good, life services games that are just micro-transaction hells that are pay to win to scam people and waste their time are a different story but games like Warframe and Helldivers 2 are life services aswell and shouldn't suffer
