Personal post but my phone contract is up shortly and I’ve decided to leave @ThreeUK after they reintroduced roaming charges. Not ideal as someone who likes to travel. Can anyone recommend a good phone network?

@KayBurley @ThreeUK There are 2 types of roaming. Home routing or local breakout. The former is the preferred option where the user access is routed back to the home network PDNGW. From there you use your own data. Curious to know what the charges consist of.

@techandy @ThreeUK Agree. The main reasons I’ve stayed has been the Go Roam offer. Needless to say as soon as my contract is up I’ll be moving to a provider who is able to assemble the words “customer” and “service” into a meaningful sentence rather than untrained offshore staff

@marquoth @ThreeUK Quit Three a while ago because network capacity in central London was awful, then with Vodafone till they dropped tube wifi. The best choice for London-based regular traveller now is EE with the travel top up benefit.
