    @dhh remember AOL and waiting minutes to dial up and connect to the internet? The same disruption is happening now in computing power. Over the next 10-25 years, the energy will not be an issue. Also do u have any idea as to how much energy it takes to mine gold?

    @RoKhanna I worked at Time Warner when bought by AOL. TW employees got stock in AOL Time Warner. When tech bubble burst AOL TW rose. Analysts touted brilliance — until it lost 95% of its value. S. Case and R. Parsons et al. made fortune. Rest of us got screwed. Time Inc. never recovered.

    @desert_starr_57 Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: Deep down 'Big Tech' ~HATES~ user generated content except as a means to an end -- cornering market share. The goal is an Internet like how AOL was about 20 years ago -- You pay a subscription for commercial filled content from big media.
