@TYonClubhouse Yessir. That is a great way to put it. To many people on here are quick to spew garbage. Pre-AOL they would know what it feels like to get punched in the throat or dragged around the playground for saying dumb ****. Now they get a pass and think its ok to be a ****.

17. I'm old enough that I used dial-up local BBS's before Prodigy, and used that before AOL. Straight up, this Discord WL system is the worst solution I've seen during my lifetime, and a ******* embarrassment for an industry that prides itself on being cutting edge technology.

@ThrillHoGaming I remember using AOL via dial up modem for the first time when I was 9 or 10 and expecting some wild **** based on everyone talking about “surfing the web” and being a little disappointed that it was still just a series of computer windows

@dubyabee17 @MrBobSugar @coryklippsten I'm not talking about bleeding edge technology, I'm talking about well researched technology. With respect to AOL it was an example of how network effect has a shelf life.

@optictopic @MrBobSugar @coryklippsten The problem people make is they overvalue the importance of bleeding edge technology. Bitcoins “tech” is only valuable insofar as it relates to its monetary properties. It’s not like AOL because it’s not a company it’s money and “crypto” is simply altered copies and not scarce.

@Kintinue Those free AOL disks that you'd get in the mail. Ad Netscape. I'll never forget the dial-up sound and that you couldn't be on the phone at the same time as someone was using the internet.
