@PokemonFan_lmao @RevolverOPSalot @bigguccicraigy Damn that’s wild. I forgot we used to ask ASL to randos on AOL/AIM lol.

  • destanyfaith95 Destany (@destanyfaith95) reported

@AOL my grandfather is completely locked out of his account and I can’t get help because I don’t have “premium” services. That is absolutely ridiculous that I have to pay to just speak to an agent on the phone to help him get into his account that he is locked out of. Do better.

  • SIFUABS Sean McKeown (@SIFUABS) reported

@ahumorlessfem Same as here, SIFUABS. As much fun as it would be to use my own name - I used to be smcke0wn here, because that was the closest I could get to my name on AOL back in 1996 - as long as **** is still ****** up and bullshit, I'm gonna stick with that hashtag/acronym.

  • BasiraUmar7 profilrr💐🧨 (@BasiraUmar7) reported

@destanyfaith95 @AOLSupportHelp Talk to @LordHelp07 they helped me when support services wouldn’t help me🥺..

  • ismashrobots Christopher (not prominent, low followers) (@ismashrobots) reported

Potential's life started to suck after the Monty Python skit, but in the 90s, with AOL/email spam AND caller id coming out, the poor man just couldn't get a phone call answered. Now, "smart" phones send his calls directly to trash. You know, he's potentially NOT a spammer too.

  • paulmcmillin5 Paul Mcmillin (@paulmcmillin5) reported

@pbump And now I see just how much it has changed for the worst. Kids didn't have time for depression and other mental disorders they claim to have now. I never would even hear Aol, yahoo, or the now famous just Google it and see in the 90's. But now its the truth even if its false.

  • au_jams Im-Unwell Miranda (@au_jams) reported

I need Chloe to head on down to the AOL Sessions studio and do a lil sum for me

  • SergioVengeance Sergio Vengeance 🇺🇲🎮🤘 (@SergioVengeance) reported

@Seanthebroken @BackendTsla It is their First Amendment right to censor you on their property. Zeran v. AOL "Lawsuits seeking to hold a service liable for its exercise of a publisher's traditional editorial functions – such as deciding whether to publish, withdraw, postpone or alter content – are barred"

  • dtf1947 trumpism = fascism (@dtf1947) reported

@UndercoverIndy That was one of the great things about the early, pre-AOL Compuserve forums. They had separate forums for different topics or interest groups. And they were moderated to keep the heat down. I miss those. Everything since then has been downhill, IMO.

  • The1BobbyGene Evil Goldblum (@The1BobbyGene) reported

@paulpepperone @nikoexxtra Wcw? Noooo. Ted Turner ran it like a billionaire (much like Kahn) and when the aol/time Warner merge happened, he lost the entire company. First thing the new owners did was shut it down because of low ratings.

  • 1776FeralAF Adri Enne (@1776FeralAF) reported

@eleftheria119 there is a solution...it's one nobody wants to do...go back to the old ways. hand written letters, land line, fax, email, aol dm style messaging. if 10% of us decided to do that...I'm sure it would send a message.

  • ToneOzMia #Washed Tone (@ToneOzMia) reported

How many times has a grown *** man probably befriended me on ICQ, AOL chats, and pretended to be a kid too? ****

  • omeara_kathy Caliroz (@omeara_kathy) reported

@RubinReport @elonmusk wow guess you have never been in some chats or forums.. hate there is beyond anything here... go to aol or Yahoo...and pick a story read the comments.. you will be surprised at the level of hate spewed.

  • mmmmorphhhh Meep Morp (@mmmmorphhhh) reported

Poetry? Non issue. Writing a script? *AOL dialup sound effects*

  • OctoberFerguson October Ferguson (@OctoberFerguson) reported

@Andie00471 Soon after Al Gore invented the Internet and AOL was invent, I actually read the entirety of the Terms of Service and what they called Rules of the Road. The rules stated just what you say. A disguised version of a word is consider by TOS the same as the word.
