I’m here to tell you that your game might be presented by the fastest 5G... but your actual stream is delivered by AOL dial up, or some low grade internet despite your premium unlimited package. And yes please @ me when service is available in my area @Verizon @comcast

How could I ruin the ending? Clearly I was the product of poor breeding and lacked all couth. At the time I was suitable abashed. This was years before the Internet century was anything other than a niche interest, before AOL, when modems still made screechy noises

@SpacemanHardy AOL even locks the desktop app installer behind the account login, and from what I can tell, to even get the desktop app, you have to still be paying them monthly. Imagine paying for AOL in 2020. Hell, imagine paying for AOL in 2010.

  • Gendervoid Chicken (@CHOAM_Nompsky) reported

@voellig @Karatloz I've been spending hours a day on the internet since at least 97, role-playing mysterious elves in AOL chatrooms called "The Tipsy Dragon Tavern" and ****

  • Steve Sisler (@cerebralpro) reported

@chasejarvis @jodyphoto @CreativeLive This is not helpful, "be critical of your own work", do you think your audience is a group of nine year olds? I can only imagine the quality of content within #CreativeLive, dumbed down to the lowest common denominator, the AOL of creatives. #VoteBlue

  • Meeseeking (@meeseeking) reported

My Grandma's birthday is coming up, looking for gifts she would never expect. She has been CPU mining BTC from an AOL dial-up since it launched, one persistent lady.

@Bryce_Olds I’ve never used it, but I agree based on the things I’ve heard! Crazy to think how AOL was really the pioneer of instant messaging
