  • Just Another Blowhard (@Xammas) reported

@the_moviebob Remember when AOL bought Time Warner and all this crap happened, the AT&T bought Time Warner and all this crap happened, and now Discovery... Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results...

  • ***** Danza (@TheRealDanza) reported

@GoddessValora That’s what made the internet exciting back then…. I’d run ads in the Las Vegas weekly with just a phone number and get girls to agree to filming some hardcore ****…. I miss those days… the internet is ruined now…. I’m old enough to remember pulling girls from AOL chat rooms

  • George (@BillsMafia_107) reported

This service is an absolute joke ! Paying a 100 bucks a month for internet that’s less reliable then AOL DIALUP WAS 30 YEARS AGO !!! @breezeline

  • JacobDMainord (@JacobMainord) reported

@ZoopWolf and I tried that on the old AOL message boards. But it also was something I couldn't talk to my parents about. Since I was turned down there, my first experience wound up being a glory hole in an adult bookstore on my 18th birthday

  • Heather (@h2c109) reported

@Jimi_Stella Heard it on a radio station. I called my brother. We went to a vigil down at the Lincoln Memorial. My bother remembers AOL was trying to stream it… Sad day, but since then we celebrate Jerry Week every year!

  • IntellectuallyArmed (@OneVexedNerd) reported

@Chikie5 I used to work for a number of tech companies as well, started with AOL in tech support (though I wanted to be a member of their client development team) in 1990s.

  • ling buyi lover #1 (@evilfIower) reported

@yoonsholIy I think the show itself started on bad faith terms. They wanted the star power of aol and l&r in one instead of wanting to show a good story or a good piece of work. Everyone is complaining about how it's just a bad mixup of every popular xianxia.

  • Bomb Bawerk ❌🥾🐍 (@BawerkBomb) reported

@6lackceo @JussGregK @FavGhostwriter I remember I used to make this complaint when I was like 11-years-old in AOL chatrooms. You're about 2 clicks away from the Navy SEAL copypasta.

  • Liz Sage #DarkBrandon2024💛🐝 (@elizlipp) reported

Helping people troubleshoot login issues with websites is the bane of my existence. No, your AOL browser isn’t compatible anymore. I don’t care if you’re still able to check your email.

  • jason@calacanis.com (@Jason) reported

@jasonlk @thesamparr Media has never had insane multiples… weblogsinc was a random rare early sale with $150-200k in revenue and a 150-200x multiple (~30m)… but AOL determined it was going to be their entire pivot to content Buzzfeed is the most wild example right now… check their P/S 👀

  • Thomas Banacek (@Thomas_Banacek) reported

@GearGuts_ @BadMedicalTakes I blame Apple and AOL and the others who insisted on making it “easier” to get on the internet. Back when you had to manipulate network settings these people would just be on a street corner talking crazy ****.

  • Kevin Angus (@GradeKangusBeef) reported

@wotveteran Absolutely!!! They felt lost in the books, which they were in a way, but even as a pacifist I was never really sold on how the way was able to regain its footing in a world so far removed of the peace of AoL

  • Kat Korvus-Thuja, Cop Puncher Extraordinaire (@PositronicPain) reported

Just remembered a dream I had the other day where I was trying to log into AOL on a Zune. And you think you have problems
