    The Good and Bad with Facebook aka Meta. The Bad: It's Facebook still, and they will take the Meta Data to do what they do best (make money) off of you. The Good: It onboards millions of people into crypto (you know the wallet is coming, then dex, etc..) The AOL of Web3!

    @iamDCinvestor Things change, and in technology they move lightning fast. AOL was the future at one point. The problem isn’t latching onto emerging tech/companies, it’s recognizing when you are wrong and supporting the next thing.

    @DSAArchaeology Personally, I find that the unsolicited wordpad doc sent from an @aol address also tends to be full of crap. But I guess it’s… great… that our old relatives are staying busy 😒

    @rod_z @JezCorden It's not just cool, it's the future. Thinking it isn't is like thinking "the internet thing" will never take off, back in the 90s. I'm MUCH more concerned that nobody is as far along as FB/Meta. Kinda hoping they will be the future's AOL, but MSFT and Appl need to start trying.

    @Lexialex No.Never.None of them.Not FB,Instagram, Twitter.Never even had a MySpace.The only "social media" correspondence I remember my sister doing was years ago in those AOL chatrooms. But I think she watches alot of YouTube videos so one can assume she has access 2 the same nonsense.

    "Meta" is a pretty entitled name for a company whose customer base is mostly grandmas sending screenshots of AOL-era chain emails.
