I love Apple products and always will but I crack up when a new iOS comes out and they change like the size of the font in the draft folder of your aol email that dates 1995 and earlier and people lose their shit thinking it’s genius will.

I use to write a lot in my teens. I remember firing up Word 97 and typing down my thoughts and saving them all in floppy discs that I got free from AOL 💾 「1.44MB」. I'd just wipe them clean and save 😅. I wish I knew where those discs went. I need to get back into writing. 📝

ANYTHING CAN FAIL But why did I say ‘almost’ before? Because even these projects can fail. Any fricking thing can fail. No matter how well established (horse-powered carriages anyone?) — no matter how big their network effects (Altavista, AOL, Myspace anyone?)... 17/25

@sharrond62 2/2 I'm trying out a reporting service that claims to identify and block the addresses & isp's. (SpamCop)...will see how it goes! Funny thing, before Yahoo got involved, AOL had almost zero spam traffic, and I've been with them over 20 years!

@Miriam31932023 @AOL So observers..net would 'help' people that tried hacking AOL. Could it be an internal 'pseudo-police-force' for internal auditing? I also know there's a "club" and "community" that took a while for them to generate at Chamberlain.

@ZOTAC Come from a very low in-come area. We were building PCs on very strict budgets to help get people connected, and donated many. We were the first on our street to even have DSL after AOL.
