madg27ny (@madg27ny1) reported from Queens, New York@FlyinBrianJr Yes, I'm conyacting AOL customer service, and they told me to try another dial-up server, and update the software for AOL instant messaging. Still waiting for a good connection. That 1 gig speed internet isn't an improvement either.

dj elbow (@TheRealElbow) reported from Queens, New YorkBack in the day, I was catfished on MySpace. This girl was using her cousins pics as her own. This was the AOL/AIM days, so you know XeLBoW did his investigative work and called her out when shit got fishy.
-
Chuck Suffel (@Chuck_Suffel) reported from Queens, New YorkI love the idea of the @discordapp but the reality is I burned out on chatrooms back in the 'ol AOL days. These days they're fun to watch but too damn stressful to participate in.

The Toy Investor (@thetoyinvestor) reported@FunkoPOPsNews Neopets made me who I am today. Still one of the GOAT games. There was a point where it was in the top three most visited websites daily I think? Right behind AOL and Google. They weren't afraid to actually make items limited. Now every game it seems like everyone has access to everything. I was 10 years old buying out the trading post of limited edition stamps and food items that were needed to get avatars for the message boards. I'd buy out the supply, stick them in my safety deposit box for a month or two, and then bring them back out at triple the price. Some things never change.
-
Fiona (@LucidWhim) reported@AOLSupportHelp I now have 807! Please sort it. @AOLSupportHelp Please can AOL empty my junk folder - it currently has 765 junk mails in it. I have never known it so bad.
-
Yui Nakamura (@YuiNoirX) reportedYou know CT is bad when your web3 identity is just a wallet address and a mid-90s AOL username.
-
mike2025 (@mike3k25) reported@ForHumanityPod Not it wasn't. It was BBS systems, IRC, and online service providers like AOL who let us connect to the world and get information and software. You idiots probably don't even know what warez was. Look it up. I used to make a **** ton of money as a kid off of it.
-
Joe Hall (@JoeHallru) reported@AntiLeftMemes 19 out of 20 for me! Never had an AOL address. Everything else is a yes!
-
lilydalekid on twïtter (@lilydalekid) reported@brockpierson AOL at home, AIM @ work. AIM was done on the down low because it wasn’t allowed by corporate IT policy. The nice thing about being in corporate IT is knowing how, and having the system permissions, to install & use until Microsoft’s chat was authorized.

Jacques Souvenier (@treemantwig) reported@hthieblot Also AOL and WOW for when dial up had just dropped. Damn I’m old
-
Casey K 🇺🇸 (@KlepperCasey) reported@smallfeetpetss Netscape never had the IPO or following / business model that AOL did.. I owned AOL at the IPO. Sold it at $50. Will never forget it. OpenAi will “still be around” for a long time. That’s not my point. My point is its business model doesn’t work when the competition is so fierce. The ROI isn’t tenable I bet you it’s trading 1/2 of wherever it prices in it IPO a year afterwards

Dave Austin (@EdmundAvalon) reported@SorchaEastwood Awww. @flyfour banned me because I showed his argument to be nonsense. Typical AOL user, frankly. Dumbing-down of the internet started with ********* like him.

Brit. 💛 (@simmerdownbrit) reportedThis is wild af but when our internet was down as a teen I had a collection of these bad bois to use. Idk how it worked and my mom eventually told me she had to call so many times to cancel AOL
