Need y’all to get off of Al Gore’s internet... you are clogging up the lines. WiFi is slow as a turtle. 🐢#Covid_19 93 AOL dial up.

@Disillu44186678 @WWFCounselor I’m sure there was discourse, but it was likely limited to smaller forums and AOL Instant Messenger or something. Social Media has REALLY magnified both the good and the bad aspects of wrestling fandom in a big way.

@Awyee_is_Ghost @Vikingobitcoin2 That's a dumb statement... If that were true we would all be chatting on AOL/AIM still and TikTok wouldn't exist. There are always ways to shift network effect... But it rarely happens in a planned way. Which is why I say proliferation of DIDs comes first.

@JakeyMoondog According to Kevin Nash, Hogan was a problem. He’d show up 2 hrs before the live taping and decide to change the show/rewrite etc at the last min. I’m sure the AOL/TWC merger didn’t help matters either

@jon_bois I tried but I got an SQL error? It said "DNS 42.42 administrator problem. Please contact your ISP for guidance." I called AOL but they said it's probably a mainframe problem with my ethernet modem. Please advise.

@bluenamicomin That’s terrible. I remember the old AOL dialup from the late 1990s. Definitely time for you to have an upgrade.

@RayLorettoJr Sad story. I was an early adopter of AOL. They offered $10,000 in shares before the IPO. I asked professional investors. They all said bad idea. So I passed. When AOL merged with Time-Warner, that $10K would have been worth $3 million. Big wins come when you see what others don't
