  • Cooney52 Jon Cooney (@Cooney52) reported

@TonyKhan @AEW Wrong. WCW closing and being bought had zero to do with Ted's wrestling knowledge, or lack their of. He didn't Run WCW as you do. He owned it. It was a subsidiary of Turner. WCW went down due to people at AOL/Time Warner not liking pro wrestling and looking at it as "low brow"

  • DownturnThe the downturn (@DownturnThe) reported

@Psychoblue9 @nikoexxtra People like Tony schiovane have said russo actually created a decent working environment including rehearsals for the shows that Eric never did. The ratings rose his first reign that’s better than sustainment but wcw went under because aol just flat out didn’t want wrestling

  • BeansInYourBum Undead Beans 👻 (@BeansInYourBum) reported

@RationalPanic @MatthewStadlen @CentreLeft_ That's just stupid.. Most people only have Gmail addresses now.. AOL doesn't exist anymore old man

  • DonaldNewm 𝕯𝖔𝖓𝖆𝖑𝖉 𝕹𝖊𝖜𝖒𝖆𝖓 (@DonaldNewm) reported

.@Aol claims you only need to sign in once with a specially created password to 3rd party applications, such as Apple Mail Outlook & things will go smoothly after that. BUT that continues NOT to be the case. After a period of time the program disconnects. @AolMail @AolSupportHelp

  • utterlybased wagmi (@utterlybased) reported

@ApeddaddyRick @_Urkann @doodles Never having to even consider gas is liberating. ETH was revolutionary but so was AOL.

  • HDavis28400113 H Davis (@HDavis28400113) reported

@QueenBadegg @DeanMacpherson @eThekwiniM The Metro police was AOL during the looting. They came after the riots stopped and started attacking communities and starred taking down baracades. I am sure they did that to move stolen goods around as communities were blocking moving points

  • RPGNewsroomBot Fantasy Newsroom Bot (@RPGNewsroomBot) reported

In Civic news, Fencer Aol has proclaimed that they intend to construct 645538 libraries. They are looking for help funding this project.

  • pensiveperson2 PensivePerson2 (@pensiveperson2) reported

@KenGardner11 @Ferric242 I don’t ever remember any kind of viciousness back in the day on Compuserve and AOL. For my two cents, they can shut all social down now.

  • SaviorSavvo Savvo (@SaviorSavvo) reported

@BackupHangman Would've still died. It wasn't creative that killed WCW, it was the AOL/Time Warner. They looked down on wrestling. How does nobody know this? Maybe it Would've lasted longer though

  • SchmaltzDiva Anita Malchiodi (@SchmaltzDiva) reported

@ToniC8 The larger the following, the increased likelihood of that crap happening. I remember when chatrooms on AOL were fun and interesting. That was when AOL still hadn't reach 250 thousand members. Then the flamers joined. Arrrgh. Makes me feel like a f*cking elitist.
