  • DirkRecker7676 Dirk Diggler (@DirkRecker7676) reported from Shoreview, Minnesota

@GayleFischer @LarrySchweikart @AOL They should never have gone at all. Why support that crap.

  • DirkRecker7676 Dirk Diggler (@DirkRecker7676) reported from Shoreview, Minnesota

@LarrySchweikart @AirBossUT @AOL Why are people even attending? I would never go and support that nonsense. Watch the NHL only.

  • pinko_machinist pinko🏴machinist (@pinko_machinist) reported from City of Saint Paul, Minnesota

@timtakestime @Sulliedsubjects Im still convinced that Natalie got up to chair just for No One is Too Poor to try to intimidate the person making the motion and to control debate. Ppl repeating bald faced lies about AoL even after the the author corrected misconceptions from the floor

  • theforefrontof Jonah (@theforefrontof) reported from Minneapolis, Minnesota

@leonardpierce Something like the Assembly Of Locals wouldn’t have precluded ppl showing up for things, but given how little shit got done and the actual lack of honest discussion at the convention AOL would still be a huge improvement

  • JusticeSikakane Justice P. Sikakane, Sr 🇨🇦 (@JusticeSikakane) reported from Minneapolis, Minnesota

@CherFeldman Connecting to dial up Internet to get onto AOL IM to talk to your friends Talking on a corded phone that was located in the kitchen. Phone mounted on wall Antishock CD Players Be kind, please rewind CRT Monitors Rolling car windows down manually WordArt Gallery

  • JaniceY13348366 Writer&PoeticVisions (@JaniceY13348366) reported from Maple Grove, Minnesota

@RWPUSA @AOL He would love that type of power; what greedy narcissist wouldn't! However, to turn this country from a democracy to a authoritarian one will not come easy! He and his family makes money while living free & travel free. The power to dump many harmless poor people out as possible!

  • absolutbottom Zima Evangelista (@absolutbottom) reported from City of Saint Paul, Minnesota

Spent 20 minutes trying to help my mom figure out her outlook log in only for her to realize/remember she has an AOL email & im sorry but I laughed for another 20 minutes bc maddening/such mom

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
  • owenvyse Occam's Eraser (@owenvyse) reported

@mrjamesob @Independent has the worst Web page ever. Even people using AOL in 1998 would be appalled. I like to read articles before commenting on them but with that site I just can't. They could have a fully-working home cure for cancer on there and I'd just stick with the cancer tbh.

  • JeffFisch FSD Beta Jeff in Austria (@JeffFisch) reported

@GordonJohnson19 suggesting $TSLA is like $AOL is a cute punchline, but ridiculous. AOL chose to remain with dialup tech, letting competitors overtake. #tesla never settles for their technology advantages.

  • lightandshade ↙️↙️↙️ hey, I'm also known as eboe 🗽 🏳️‍🌈🖤🧷🖤 (@lightandshade) reported

@korrasrevengers I mean, anyone can write ideas anywhere. If it is a convenient place to jot them down, why not? Everybody has phones. Some people like certain tools. Some people still cling to their @ AOL email addresses. It is a weird world out here. Some people record albums in Garage Band!

  • Mik7os imre (@Mik7os) reported

I have trust issues with people who still use aol, yahoo, etc instead of just gmail/@-domain-name

  • Rezman5 Resnick the Polymath (@Rezman5) reported

@gonefullcrypto Sure, right after ethereum flips btc. Predictions like this are pointless, imo. If you asked someone in 1998 if AOL would still be king in 2008, most people would have said yes. What if a third network shows up and beats out both? Hedging is better than predicting.

  • HeronDemarco HeronDemarco (@HeronDemarco) reported

You know there was a time when being on a computer talking to a person you’ve never met physically was considered some weirdo ****? I know because I was called a weirdo during the AOL days. Now look at us. Socialization is a muthafucka ain’t it?

  • kosso Kosso 🌐 (@kosso) reported

@meeware I sadly agree on your last point about recovering. I've been 'social' online since the beginning. '93 on usenet. Music forums. Even Compuserve rooms. Early Yahoo chat. ICQ! etc. CuSeeMe. NEVER AOL. :) It was a few years ago when I first thought "Oh no! What have we done!"

  • dozyclown JULIAN 👌 (@dozyclown) reported

when I was a child i told my mom **** school and ever since then I been retarded with it thinkin bout nothin got the aol dial up sound in my head 24/7 i put that on everything walking with a limp cuz my wallet so fat they pay me not to come to they house and scream at they moms

  • gabriel_gabdiel ガブリエルデアンヘレス (@gabriel_gabdiel) reported

@OrkiesSteve Brian Last claims Vince is going to sell but this is based on the layoffs and getting great deals with NBC-Universal, FOX, and USA. So the rumors might be cope over the deals he's been making to put WWE in a bad light (i.e., they're doing a WCW AOL and Time Warner merger thing)

  • Suryarkiz Sykk (@Suryarkiz) reported

Dug up my ancient mabinogi account from back when I was still into Touhou and lurked forums and there were people discussing it in those forums and the game was region locked to US only and I had to do some weird as **** AOL doohickey to login but I gave up Its been... 12 years.
