@iang_fc @adam3us @wakgill Maybe the question is... is collusion so bad? Like an open Internet that degrades into AOL. We can still get email. Send txs. But isn't the entire point that Bitcoin is a public network? Appreciate the thoughtful replies anyway. Not trying to lecture. Just raise awareness.

In 1994 I thought the internet was a failure. At that point I had only seen Promenade/Quantum/AOL, Prodigy, and Gopher. Luckily I had the good fortune of seeing a web browser at the end of that year that changed my perspective because of what early HTML could support.

@HandmaidAlberta Gotta hand it to “StCool”. Most Press Secretaries and Issues Managers are AOL (or on a plane). This is the moment they’ve been training for ( my spellcheck wanted to write “traveling “ instead of training. Even spellcheck is mocking the UCP today)

“You kids have such an advantage growing up with this technology” Sir, we’re resetting a password. It’s not hard to write down your username and password. Also, you’re on AOL and typing in a gmail address.

@vanillaice concert trashed by @AOL . If you fill the need to read some pure garbage, AOL is the ticket. Anyone still using this.platform must have an IQ under 80.

@Maverick_TopBun @Zeebroski I was a young dumb kid roleplaying online in AOL Chat rooms as the world's worst edgy OC when I bumped into @/twilightxio who introduced me into a whole wide world of furry, scalie wonder and delight. It's been a long 20 years since then (God that made me feel old), but I'm here

@DBashIdeas You paid for AOL? We would use for free for 500 hours or something, cancel and then start up again....
