Trinity Ashcroft (@TrinityAshcroft) reported@BlueHawkLegend I get that, but the amount of utility is not enough to say that it’s being used at any kind of scale really. It’s like the beginning of the Internet when we had Netscape and AOL. It seems like everybody was using it, but most people weren’t. And out of the entire planet only five people have exposure to crypto that’s nothing imagine what percent of that is actual utility. It’s insignificant it’s hard to see because we’re immersed in it all the time and we think everyone knows about it and we wonder why people aren’t doing something about it why they’re not buying bags of it. It’s because you’ve done all this research and you know what’s going on and you’ve been knowing what’s going on for probably years so it’s frustrating because stuff isn’t happening but it will and when you look back, you’ll be like holy crap I was so freaking early and I had the patience of a saint and you’ll pat yourself in the back and then go jump in your swimming pool of whatever precious gem you fill it with lol who cares what everyone else is doing and what the price is doing if you’ve done your research, you know where it’s gonna go and that’s all you have to have Vision and the faith and the patience to wait for it to happen

Pedro Henriques (@p3dromig) reportedEveryone worries over EU startups flipping to the US. One Italian company is buying up American ones instead. You probably opened three of their apps this week. Bending Spoons is a Milan company most people outside Italy might never have heard of. Founded in 2013. Started as an app studio. Then it turned into an acquisition machine. The list is close to absurd now: AOL, Vimeo, Evernote, WeTransfer, Meetup, Eventbrite, Brightcove, Komoot, StreamYard. Recently they added Airtable. Over 50 deals in total. Most of the marquee names are American. All of it runs out of a single office in Milan. We all see European startups do the reverse Delaware flip. Move from the EU to incorporate in the US, chase US capital, hand control across the Atlantic. Bending Spoons runs it the other way. It buys American brands and moves ownership and control to Europe. You do not see that often. Bravi, @bendingspoons !! I run a European company, and we have a subsidiary in Milan. Nothing against US startups, but I want my kids to grow up in a Europe that buys, not only one that gets bought.

🇺🇸 Juan Pueblo 🇺🇸 (@Yorgish49) reported@krassenstein You manipulated this article from AOL and left the part about being afraid to be discharged dishonestly. They don’t lack a damn thing. The issue is being away from their families, they knew it going in and two latino guys were broken up ‘cause they have been away a long time.

chsake (@chsake_) reported16...💀 The other 4: Didn't had AOL, didn't use cheque book (still don't have one), saw a typewriter but didn't use, and I know someone who had a waterbed but again never used.

Ming the Beauty Supply Store Baddie (@QtrWaterClassic) reportedThese kids will NEVER understand the prayers we threw up in the air so that the internet would connect, the hope that no one picked up the house phone to interrupt the internet, and the image of that running man across the screen from the AOL cd

Kristinn Sævar Magnússon (@kristinnsms) reportedThe model: buy unloved internet assets, rebuild the technology, centralise the infrastructure, cut the cost base, keep the cash. More than 50 acquisitions since 2013, and they have never sold a business. Evernote. WeTransfer. Vimeo. Meetup. Brightcove. Eventbrite. AOL.
