the problem is people want me to have aol instant messenger energy but my away message has been up since the mid 2000s.

  • tmajibon Solomon Bailem (@tmajibon) reported

@googlefi Seriously, worst support I've ever received. Making Comcast and AOL look good. If you have more than one line, stay away from Fi, it's *not safe*.

  • MattGarciaEth MattGarcia.eth (fob.eth / رمضان.eth / haj.eth) (@MattGarciaEth) reported

3-letter @ENSdomains are insanely deflationary —once a company like PWC, AOL, or BMW get ahold of their acronym, they will never sell

  • SrRochardBunson Sir Rochard Bunson (@SrRochardBunson) reported

@MMortemm Used NetZero and Juno. Was too poor for AOL.

  • musoutaiko Starlight Codex (@musoutaiko) reported

@Ranveld The way I see it is VRChat is kind of like AOL and the metaverse will be more like a modern web browser, where you can go anywhere. Yeah, there's a 90% chance they'll **** that up, though its not like VRChat devs will be the good guys forever either.

  • Jim99937576 Jim (@Jim99937576) reported

@Latina_Schatje I never signed up with AOL.

  • ndigobunting 🎶 indigo bunting~Sita🎑 (@ndigobunting) reported

@Mbswolf @suzetrup AOL was my first dial up... still have fond memories of that time though. Internet was wide open then, but very slow!

  • tmajibon Solomon Bailem (@tmajibon) reported

@Projectfi Seriously the worst support I've ever received from any company. Making Comcast and AOL feel like personal butlers by comparison.

  • ToddMason2013 Todd Mason (@ToddMason2013) reported

@jackiekashian Writer & librarian @jessnevins noted this morning in response to this that his first purchase thus was for dial-up service (& grief); that would be my answer, too--though as a user of Q-Link before it re-arose from its ashes to become AOL, I wasn't actually paying for that one...

  • fishguytom TomSom (@fishguytom) reported

@MMortemm Oh geez, I still can hear that awful modem sound & the AOL start tone…
