    Ive never been good at communicating with people out in the real world. And when i got my first computer back when dail up and aol was popping, Yahoo chat was my first outlet to tje rest of the world. I could finally articulate myself to other people.

    @benedictevans Hard disagree. Mastodon is hard to use and confusing to people… never going to get traction with those two attributes. It’s much more like early email and internet, there needs to be an AOL moment for it to take off.

    It's funny, the AOL/Time Warner merger was the worst corporate decision ever at a cost of 99 billion. Amazing to see musk try and speed run to 100.

    @sinmck @yoyoel @kathygriffin It's like elementary school. Elon surrounds himself with lackeys and bros that tell him how he is a once in a generation thinker. So Elon gets confused and upset if AOL, Kathy Griffin ... don't appropriately bow down. So he basically pulls their hair and storms off 😡😡
