@faineg It truly is a terrible platform now, literally reinventing the America Online AOL online trap

@pbump There of the lawyers have aol email addresses. Facebook and Twitter terms of service, which have been upheld in court, require the suits to be filed locally in California, not Florida. That doesn't seem serious so far.

@Timodc Does aol still host email services? I thought they shut down, oh, like, 12 yrs ago?

@AkivaMCohen I just don't understand private attorneys who still use AOL or Yahoo email accounts - at worst, gmail *seems* more professional, and it's only $15/year to have a custom email domain.

@cjrmurphy1 @SundaeRedux @AOL good points, however I only use the free aol version. I use other programs for security (Norton has it's own issues). But for the basic aol mail set up, it's just not as complicated as many others (rules, filters, etc) AOL is like "email for dummies"(me) so I feel in control.

@SteamboatUSA Never mind the AOL email addresses; “Dudenhefer Law Firm” sounds like a Shelbyville firm on The Simpsons.

Years ago I had to cancel 2 @AOL accounts. With the 2nd one I told them right away that I just wanted to cancel, didn't want any of their services, & wasn't going to answer questions. That wasn't acceptable. (2)

@dinoisseur @xfmaweezy Damn, that would really suck for me because social media didn't even exist until I was in my thirties and double damn I didn't even have internet until I was 21. I only had four years to flail in IRC and AOL chatrooms about TV shows before my opinions were deemed irrelevant.
