  • JimmyDaGreek76 Trembling With Greed (@JimmyDaGreek76) reported

2/x. they had to log into their email account via a website. Obviously the login failed but now the person has the name & PW. They were pulled in a chat room and told that for $4.99 per month they could get AOL email with various security features

  • SteveSnake59 Ultron (non-MCU) (@SteveSnake59) reported

@DavidPoland Disney is not Netflix and Wall Street needs to realize that, or else end up like the poor sods who invested in AOL after the Time Warner merger.

  • Gregggyboy gregg 🍅 (@Gregggyboy) reported

one day you logged off your AOL account not realizing you’d never log back on it ever again.

  • SouthFloridelph Southfloridelphia (@SouthFloridelph) reported

@jet7111 @WrestlingCovers Yes and no. While people today would kill for the numbers Nitro was doing near the end, the numbers had dropped tremendously. Nitro was doing less than Heat (WWF C show). Had they been doing 97-98 numbers it would have been hard for AOL/TW to shut it down.

@RanaAurora Haha - that is a strange question. I do develop on Linux, but am not a Linux developer. So no, maybe somebody like me, but not me. I didn't realize anybody ever handed out Linux CDs like AOL floppies back in the day. I always just spent all day downloading ISOs at slow speeds.

  • GiftedMoney Great Friend of the Show Joel Mcintyre (@GiftedMoney) reported

@JoshLopezMedia I guess Tony never talked to his buddy Eric Bischoff about the fact that nobody at Turner or eventually AOL/Time Warner even wanted WCW on their pay roll. But hey, don’t let facts get in the way of a good story

  • bytaylordenise taylor (@bytaylordenise) reported

Then once I have it figured out. Take my internet away. It’s served me nothing but pain and heartache anyway. From the first day I waited for AOL to boot up, clicked on Myscene Doll Dot Com and my mama said she needed to use the phone. **** it all.

  • Big_Evil6 Leon M. Tails Prower (@Big_Evil6) reported

@TonyKhan @AEW You ever hear of the AOL time Warner merger of 2001 Turner lost control then Tony learn History if Billionaire Ted had his way WcW never would have ended in 2001

  • Gorczynski901 Hollie Gorczynski (@Gorczynski901) reported

@TonyKhan @AEW to the people at AOL Time Warner who didn’t want wrestling on their networks. You don’t have to talk people down to big yourself up Tony.

  • elwheeo2 mike gonzles (@elwheeo2) reported

Damn Dave really is up Tony’s ***. Not to mention if Tony did study wrestling he would know it had nothing to do with Ted Turner and the biggest reason why WCW is no longer around is the simple fact AOL took over
