@JerryDunleavy I was getting ready to goto University in the UK. Saw on AOL that they'd been an accident and I was a bit plane obsessed. Turned on BBC who said a Cessna had crashed. Then watched the whole thing and the 2nd plane. Sent shivers down me.

@BeschlossDC Was in my home office and signed onto AOL. Saw a big red banner about WTC being hit. Turned on TV and watched the 2nd plane hit the building (thought it was film, but was a live shot), literally jumped in the air and started calling people. An awful day.🥺

@mintamolly 80% of Miss. is Black...when it came to voting for Governor...they were AOL....did not bother to vote and then a white redneck MAGA man got elected and took money designed for building Miss for other purposes...Rev Al never told them about voting

@BeschlossDC I returned to my office after a mtg, and my computer screen was filled w/ AOL messages from my daughter, who had just started frosh year at NYU in a dorm room w/ a view of the Towers. Awakened by screams, she looked out the window. It was awful not being able to be w/ her.

On 9/11 I was on phone doing tech support with lady in new York for about 2 hours. I didn't understand why she had to let me go, I found out later. I remember exactly where I was. Call center for AOL shut down for days.
