The best version of the internet was in the mid to late 90’s. This is because stupid people hadn’t figured out how to use computers outside of AOL yet.

@AOLSupportHelp How do I disable AOL news? The 'Today on AOL' box is unchecked in General settings, but it's still there. I can't bear any more stories about vacuous celebrities & the comments make me want to slit my wrists in despair of the whole human race. Please. Help. Now!

  • Chip192203 Steve Connolly (@Chip192203) reported

@AOLSupportHelp Interesting as always AOL wants to blame the customer. Yet when I suggested you try the same thing I’m seeing in your own e-mail nobody seems to have bothered to check issue. Seems you folks did not want to check so I had a friend try example I gave, same result.

@CollettPSmall After a long day at my manual labor job, the horrible sound of logging on to AOL was music to my ears. I also loved watching the screen load from the top down.

@xXAutumnIvyXx Me like this, however after consideration of how many terms of service agreementsive accepted in the past long number of years im not sure who my soul goes to at this point. Maybe AOL? But they got sold or something so idk.

@judysquirrels I had a flip phone until just after graduating, which would've been toward the end of 2011. Never really experienced texting friends on a phone growing up, graduated before that happened, unless you count AOL instant messenger. Lol.
