@Carlos_shk @YugiohMemories say” I’m sorry for aol the trouble I caused it was just meant to be funny was just doing it for a joke that’s all,” not very many people say that if it is a joke, if I made a video about something that I thought was funny but later realized how uncool it was to upload something

@banalplay Glad that when I was 14 I had to go to great lengths to publish a fanzine of my terrible opinions and bomb recipes, I couldn't just turn on my AOL and go to computer dot com to do so I mean technically I probably could have but was too much of an elitist for that

Update: I was able to get my Discord back so that’s good. However, my Twitch is ******. To get it I’d have to go through my old Yahoo email and then through my old AOL email since it’s my backup for it. The problem is that my old AOL email no longer exists due to inactivity. RIP.

the main reason that all of the Good Yahoo Stuff is going away: Verizon bought them as a package deal with AOL and is only interested in extracting properties which can be easily cannibalized by VZ (like Yahoo's internal cloud as a service based on OpenStack)

the fact that the internet has become so much easier to use and communicate through for people without as much literacy as people who started with AOL is a good thing and pretending that we had to walk uphill in the snow both ways and thus so must new users is stupid

@eyev_ @Bornwithadarkt1 @hennycran When the internet was made widely available for personal computers it was loaded onto a disc and installed on the computer. After that you also had to use your modem to connect to the internet by dialing using your phone service. Its AOL online/dial up if you’ve heard of that
