@AnaBrayTech At first yes. Then my mom got a second land line because having 4 kids fighting over the internet (and AOL only allowing one sign in at a time) made it a pain in the *** with only one line.

@MakeMiserable @CheckMyAdsHQ @Yahoo Not sure of that either. Current Yahoo email is a mashup of former AOL, Verizon, and Yahoo accounts. As of 2021, Apollo Global bought all. Who knows what might happen next?! It appears to me they are cleaning up the platform and removing some "bad actors." Fox ads could go!

@thisone0verhere IBM PC Junior … DOS operating system … Windows at that time did not exist … it had a very slow dial up process to connect to the Internet. I used Prodigy, AOL, and Netscape software to play around with. This was back in 1983/ 84 period.

@canna__momma I built myself a computer in 1995. Used AOL dial up service. Never thought I would have a more powerful phone that is also a computer.

Remember the AOL "You've got mail!" notification? I don't think people would tolerate that crap in modern life. You'd hear it every freaking minute.
