    They had a service called mailblocks. Worked so well aol paid them off just to shut it down. Someone emailed you it did not tells you unless they answer answered a question. Spam just stopped. Anyone know one that does this today ?

    It’s crazy because I’ve been into tech my entire life. I was a teenager creating Visual Basic progs on AOL, I mean, my tech literacy is very high. So to get hacked feels 10x more devastating. I’ve never felt this violated. They made off with so much ****.

    @insidethegroove It’s still interesting how this album galvanized a hard-core group of fans. I had no idea (considering I have never met another fan) until really AOL became so ubiquitous.

    @Lost_in_DeFi @JR_Amoed0501 @TaschaLabs Have you ever used eth? It's really terrible. No explanation necessary. Your betting chips on AOL at the height of it's existence right now. The only way eth continues is if people blindly buy in while government stifles the competition. ... Oh wait that's what's happening.

    @peterframpton Eh. The internet also promotes democracy, but what hurts is the lack of editors, now replaced with amauters. One purpose of editorial boards is to sift through garbage & promote truth. If you remember the days of AOL, there was nonsense then too, but the platform helped minimize.
