The right-wing AOL site (some of us still hang onto our ancient AOL e-mail addresses) with another screed today about the CDC's "messaging" mess. No. Never less than clear: 2020 -- mask and distance. 2021 -- get vaccinated. It's only confusing if you want it to confuse. Some do.

all of this metaverse synergies talk reminds me of AOL Time Warner. it seemed like a good idea to merge a cable operator with an online news service. the integrations never came. WebTV wouldn't happen for another 20 years with AndroidTV and others...

Someone called me ageist at 8:35AM bc we had her AOL email on file, not her Gmail. I muted my phone to leave her in silence to think about what she just said, screamed “WHAT?” out loud, unmuted, & heard my neighbors wander down the hall, so sorry to them if I woke them up. 👼🏼

What a STUPID deal for Verizon to buy AOL for $4.4 billion. AOL has been bad luck for everyone who touched it. Worth less than $1 billion!

AOL bought Mirabilis, not MS, but it was the first time I started paying attention to acquisitions. Paypal by eBay was one of the most useful. Picasa by Google was one of the worst.
