@juphoff In 99, while you were at comdex, I remember specifically I was coding the TV listings for AOL, Netscape & CompuServe. It downloaded all Tribune data for the whole country, parsed it, and presented it depending on your cable provider. Then Y2K scared the crap out of me.

  • Jess_Wade Jessica Wade (@Jess_Wade) reported

@jaycaspiankang But I guess we'll never know what happened because life is unfair, a thing I learned when the show was NOT RENEWED which I thought was SHOCKING because a lot of people on AOL liked it.

@ShiraOvide AOL changes so bad it merits a column. It's designed to driver users away or to costly app: Unbelievably ugly Unbelievably inefficient: Can't see a way to make folders; can't see a way to do countless things that were easy with the former system Unbelievably ugly

  • t0m3llArd It's Raining on a Santa (@t0m3llArd) reported

Ha. So when you start a new email address on their system, the receipts they have on file have the old email address and so =/= you. So God help you if you didn't keep that old OzeMail account from 1990 something. (For Americans, kind of like an AOL account).

@n1vux @AOL @gmail It's 2020. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If you're making a habit of family tech support though, you might need much, much more. :D Jealous of the snow you're set to get tomorrow. HEL hasn't had snow in almost two years. :(
