Spent a long time writing Edward Snowden a letter begging for help with human rights and explaining a few apparent inconsistencies and twitter erased it. Starved out by AOL again @Snowden Grateful if you help. Need support. Exhausted, terrorized. TY EJS #METOO #STOPAOL #STOPISIS

@Julieinaz1 @NotAlexSheppard Yes I do check several times a day. The problem I think is I was using the AOL account I have had for 25+ years. AOL must be blocking it as I tried multiple times. I just tried with ProtonMail and got the email immediately. Censorship?

@emsteksrv @charliekirk11 Wow, that tweet was from 2020. I take it you are still using AOL and the dial up is slow. He is a Patriot of the United States.

@JustinMcElroy For some reason we had a whole whack of free 30 min AOL trials. But our closest dial up spot for them was long distance. Parents signed up for a “free long distance after 6pm” plan. The bills we would get…stacks of paper itemizing every time we went online. **** was crazy.

It's dawned on me that I'm just now getting my feet under me after all the upheaval I experienced post-AOL when I left there in late 2007... real estate bubble, bad jobs, pneumonia, and the pandemic all have kept me quite off-balance for what's been a very long time...

@ChelseaHillier6 @srnawaz09 Why? Is AOL down?

  • SnortneyBell courtshootsfilm (@SnortneyBell) reported

@JustinMcElroy Going online used to cost money, but going into an AOL Help chat room was free. So, lots of ppl would go into empty Help chat rooms and fill them up with “a/s/l” messages until an AOL Admin entered the room. Then, we’d all scatter like cockroaches.

@Mollyissilly One time my brother got in trouble in an AOL chat room and someone said they were going to email our mom, I jumped under the desk and pulled out the power cord to the computer. We high fived, knowing I had saved him.
