    When Netscape was acquired by AOL in 1998 for $4.2B they were still unprofitable but had >50% revenue growth and dominant market share with revenue projected to grow at a 44% CAGR and surpass $1B in just a few years. Sound familiar? You wont guess what happened next: $MSFT bundled Internet Explorer with Windows for free and took 80% of the share overnight. If you don't know how to apply this historical analogue to today I cant help you.

    @ThierryBorgeat Are the shareholders and board of cursor stupid to accept it? They’re accepting because they’re also not worth $60 billion in cash. This is like time warner aol merger. Some jokes write themselves..

    The Funny thing is Other Platforms have been used for over 30 years and Blocking based on age will never work remember Fake ID's that Doesn't Stop at Undocumented immigrants or Teen's with any desire to say Goodbye 👋. Like AOL

    @markpinc @jonoringer Consider the source. Buying junk assets and milk them for cash. Not a bad business, but there is no reason to say that how others are doing it is wrong. I ran AOL, and I know.

    @PBDsPodcast The crazy part is that he’s still too young to really remember what it was like. I’ll never forget AOL chatrooms and social media before the great meme war of 2016. Everything changed after that. The internet is so lame now.

    @cultra I will take ICP over anything. Can build an entire site onchain. Bitcoin will be like AOL it will still hang around for years because you can't do anything with it.
