  @AOL unable to sign into email for last week. No response from customer services. No one to talk to either😡😡Absolute joke. Important emails that I cannot access. AOL can you please get on to this. Beyond frustrating.

  There was an Internet before the internet. My parents bought an IBM PS1 from sears as our first modern computer when I was in elementary school. It came with Prodigy which was like a big BBS and a free trial of Compuserve, which I think was the predecessor to AOL, both ran on dial up. I liked compuserve better because it had chat rooms but it had some heinous bill by the minute rate once you exhausted the free trial. At 8 years old the only thing that occurred to me to do with this technology was to relentlessly and nonsensically troll the chat rooms until I ultimately got banned from the entire platform. Well, a month later my mom gets a $200 bill from compuserve (I blew well past the free trial) and she calls them irate. Apparently in this call she was told I ran up the charges and btw I was also banned. She couldn’t believe this so I guess she asked why I was banned and the rep told her I was spamming their chat rooms saying “I like big breasted women” which was apparently against their terms of service and they would not be refunding anything given my behaviour. Got home from 3rd grade that day to get quite an ear full about this. But I guess I get bonus points for being banned from the internet before there even was an internet. I still like big breasted women tho you can’t hold me down.

  when i first worked for a big co (TC was part of AOL at the time, IIRC) I spilled a drink on my laptop and bricked it really thought i was going to get fired (I was young) and was blown away when the co was like well ****, is a new one by tomorrow fast enough?

  @SanityHak Thats one thing I picked up on in Miss Hyde's Testilying to checking Safari search history , wait what ? Safari is not and I repeat is not a search engine , they simply take your request and use Google and AOL and other search engines so by checking these search histories would tell Hyde the exact time That search was made and open tabs wouldn't matter but if she did check them she never said so ! Fraudsters for hire and a stinking *** judge who allowed false testimony in this trial and you can bet your *** Karen wins her lawsuit when they check all this stuff like invested videos and low quality security footage , 43 minutes missing , a bunch of bullshit **** and the antis can ride this **** straight to hell !

  @2147mill The problem with the normie test is that the internet passed it in 1999 too. Totally non techy families were on AOL back then as well, over 20 million of them by the end of 1999. Amazon went from 17 million customers to 25 million between 1999 and 2001 and nearly doubled revenue, and the stock still lost 94% over those two years. So usage only tells you the thing is real. For the bubble question I look at what people pay for the earnings. Cisco was over 100x forward at the 2000 top, Nvidia is under 20x right now. Same thing with the crypto half of your post by the way. Nobody uses gold day to day either and that never made gold a bubble.

  On the day Michael Jackson died in 2009, the internet collapsed. The LA Times, AOL, TMZ, AIM, and several other major sites completely crashed. Searches for the King of Pop spiked to an insane ~4.2 million per minute. Google believed it was under some kind of cyber attack because of the sudden flood of people searching “Michael Jackson”. Twitter went down and Wikipedia crashed around 3:15 p.m. PDT.

  @BBfan4life4sure @Iwanthatveto They didn’t have HOH comps to save them or POV. They had to complete task and had to budget for food. They each had to vote 2 people that they wanted to leave each week. The people with the most votes I believe two or three were left for the viewers to decide banishment by calling an 800 number and voting. Live feeds were on AOL which was horrible. And they had live animals in the BY.

  @StorchMoritz i truly believe eth doesn’t do anything. it’s slow archaic, it’s AOL imo. stablecoins and other tech can accomplish what it does
