@joshtpm @nycsouthpaw AOL. Best/worst deal in tech age depending on which side of the table you were sitting at.

  • Kollossol_ Kollossol (@Kollossol_) reported

@Section_230 @Cassi_______ @PaulTassi Zeran v AOL doesn't seem to counter my statement. My premise is that in return for this protection, service providers must comply with the regulatory framework. They are given the ability to engage in certain publisher activities, so long as they act in good faith.

@Krakat0n I'm old as crap but I played the computer games not AOL. Mainly because my parents wouldn't let me

@OnlyAnExcuse1 the worst thing that ever happened to the internet was the slow erosion of old style chat rooms. Nobody cared what shite you talked about. AOL for the win.

  • Lonely_Geek Another Geek (@Lonely_Geek) reported

30 years ago, someone stopped their life (in a dangerous area) to take care of my crew. Due to how things played out, I was never able to personally think him. I found a 20 year old AOL Address, and blindly sent an email. Today, he replied. It's never too late.

you know, if AOL were to reboot Messenger as a microblogging service.... AOL MSNGR

  • Lady_RBF Lady_RBF (@Lady_RBF) reported

@Grand_handsomer As a kid, we had an AOL account that was designated for chatting. My dad set it up so that no one could email or IM it. We would go into chatrooms and just annoy the crap out of adults in there, they would get so mad. Good clean internet fun.

Like every platform I've used before for social media - let's see - Notes, USENET, Google+, AOL, Facebook - I can quit Twitter tomorrow, and I won't look back. There's more important things to give a **** about than a stupid social media platform.
