    @akiralex Never did one. Leaving it old school. Did you see my original join date? When I joined there were no avi’s available. We also had private groups available. And Yes I had an AOL email account at one time.

    @JeffNewman72 @YahooNews AOL couldn't deal with Time-Warner, either. Maybe, just maybe, it's TW. Or everyone sucks.

  • ThePennyMarvels Hoodie Peaks (@ThePennyMarvels) reported

    @ObiWanJakolby ****, remember AOL?

  • GoodTwitty GoodTwitty (@GoodTwitty) reported

    @MnarMuh @MaxBlumenthal @MintPressNews Maybe a return to using email programs with filters -could be an new emphasis again . Frankly I find Facebook a very cumbersome service to use: it's a borderline AOL technology in terms of flexibility and end-user control -with far poorer customer support for routine use

    @tracyalloway Bitcoin is a network protocol. That's not what AOL was. The correct analogy is another network protocol called

    @akstanwyck My two thoughts: 1) SOMEONE made a ton of money. A few people. 2) Wait, didn't this kind of sh*tshow happen to WB with AOL in the 2000s, and didn't the executives give *precisely* the same reasons it was a blockbuster idea that couldn't possibly fail?

  • Harrisoar3 Donnie Dumpo (@Harrisoar3) reported

    @tracyalloway @KrystianLaskow1 If bitcoin was taken over it would be a complete **** fest. No one would trust crypto. Comparing aol to btc is apples and oranges. Will not happen

  • Chip192203 Steve Connolly (@Chip192203) reported

    Apparently AOL does not want me sending e-mail this morning. 3 attempts to multikple addresses have failed with: There was a problem saving the message. Please try again later. (EC-4008). Of course AOL will blame some other outfit for the problem. Anyone else having issues?

  • NeerajKA Neeraj K. Agrawal (@NeerajKA) reported

    time for everyone to fixate on whether aol is the same thing as a decentralized network (it’s not and that’s okay for the purpose of the analogy)

  • ChigzLord ChigzLord 🛡️ (@ChigzLord) reported

    @tracyalloway if you want better comparison you have to compare TCP/IP (Internet protocol) with AOL (a private network) your comparing the wrong thing silly num num.
