    @MaggieMaeCat @CZEdwards @MoreAndAgain Ah, the aol atom issue, and the fun modem string that tended to make rockwell 33.6 modems hang on even with crappy phone lines. My fav was the old folk who would run into an install error, then just install it again, about 40 times then call to have it fixed.

    @Rklawton @theepplzchamp @JoeHolder_ Image how long it would take AOL on a Windows 98 computer, manually entering the data and then trying to a website that could translate it for you. Possible Hour down to seconds

    I came of age in the AOL era of the Internet and can say there’s never been a more exciting time than now. Feels like there’s so much possibility. And keep in mind all we had then was email and chat forums lol
