@Ahlyfah Back in the day, there was an AOL bug such that, if you installed Norton Antivirus it clobbered AOL, uninstalling Norton didn't help, and reinstalling AOL didn't help either. But all AOL support would do was tell you to reinstall AOL. (They got mad at me when I finally refused.)

@libsoftiktok Duh…. We don’t anymore… are you AOL sister? Only in private schools do we have these privileges…you’ll never understand it-until you go live in a Communist country… then you’ll be kissing 🇺🇸ground!..

@Javert_Michael @AOL last time I wanted to use AOL they wanted money for me to sign in. AOL was free for over a decade, decade and a half or whatever, and membership dwindled to nothing, now they thought it'd be a good idea to charge people again. dumb!

@Dynamicbrands @SlackHQ Yeah, tbh, not 100% sure I can see as much leverage in the move either, but from their perspective they probably would like to add the 450M MAUs $PINS has to their payment platform in some way. I don't think this will go down anything like AOL type disaster but time will tell.

Jesus, this horror series "1994" on Netflix is so bad. AOL Instant Messenger in 1994?! "The internet" in 1994 at home in the general household? The only thing they got accurately was the music, which is good.

@RedTapeChron I wonder to what extent they actually care about the bad press. Tiktok has demonstrated that they can get away with a lot as long as they are "cool". Is it possible FB is more worried about irrelevance? How to avoid become the next Xerox/AOL/Yahoo/Myspace.

@83Weeks @EBischoff #AskEric If AOL never entered the picture with TNT and merged do you think WCW would still be around today and would you be with them still?

@NancyLeeGrahn Too bad America Online is already taken. Facebook is the new AOL. #Irrelevant

The thing I think I most miss about AOL I M is that it was always there. I'm really bad at remembering that my messaging things are there if they're not just kind of always there, so I'm not good at messaging people
