This was after the "September that never ended" so I like to think that most of the Usenet stuff was just lost in the cacophony of AOL modem noises.

@stonedvillager I was about 11 or 12, it was the early days of AOL, Compuserve, and Prodigy dial up. I was born in 1983. I never used my real name though. Still don’t.

@PeterVincer I don't beleive it was a hack. Maybe look back to that date and what you might have tried to buy for 2.1 and if you were having difficulties during slow blockchain. Overall I think you're still good. But I once had AOL so....
