It reminded me of something I wrote on August 17 on my post 👇 A GREAT ASSET doesn’t automatically make a GREAT INVESTMENT. Pay too much, and your returns can suffer. Allocate too much capital, and one mistake can damage your entire portfolio. That’s why I believe good investing isn’t just about choosing the right asset. It’s about paying the RIGHT PRICE and sizing your position wisely. The AOL–Time Warner story didn’t teach me that lesson. It reinforced it.   I was a senior in highschool and was talking to a girl a year younger than me. One time she spent the night and I turned my computer on and hacked the company her dad owned. I found her dad's signature in the payroll files and pointed it out to her. You could tell she was uneasy about it but fascinated at the same time. By the time I graduated I had received three letters from AOL asking me not to hack their ****.
