@JesseCheap The most technically advanced the world supposedly has been is the AOL, which never brings up implementing magic as an extension of that tech, considering the 1st age is supposed to be us. If WoT was to be Sci-fi Jordan would have needed to write in the magic being tech

@JessieLameque @AbbyWil44094211 Hey Jessica and Abby. I just did this with your recommended IG guy. He sounded very promising, I had to pay him over $100. Then the final outcome was suspicious to me. I got an email from "airbnb help" but the email was "@aol.com" sounds like a fake to me, but takes 24-48 hrs

@suzannecutler10 Never asked as a child because the few times I dared to bring it up (as in 'I wonder if she misses me'), I was immediately shut down. Not allowed. I tried a few times as an adult, pre-internet, & hit walls. Then in my 40s, found an AOL chat room & made the connections I needed.

I don’t love Outlook, but I’ve never understood what everyone’s issue with it is. Then I realized my main email service provider has historically been AOL, and now I get why Outlook seems great in comparison.

@katiedimartin I briefly worked AOL tech support as a teenager, and realizing that I had to adjust my explanations depending on the audience was an incredibly valuable lesson in my software development career AND life in general.

Overheard at work - one employee explaining to another employee what AOL is because they'd never heard of it. Then having to pause to explain the acronym AOL. Please, my knees and back can't take anymore.
