@nbeaudrot @trumwill AOL just barely. It was Quantum Link until 89. Looked like a 2d platformer. Never saw Prodigy and they were considered our biggest competitor. I did use CIS in the early 80s. I was also on The Well, but that was super niche.

In hindsight: Shutting down the economy in response to covid Continues to become the most boneheaded dumb ridiculously absurd bad idea of all time I'm talking dumber than AOL buying Time Warner, or whatever that deal was FWIW I thought it was bad before it happened
