  @a69774 @jeremykauffman @HarrisonHSmith The DNS A-root was there (now it's anycasted). That was why one of the first network interconnects was built there. Then that was why Amazon built us-east-1 there. AOL built there because of that first interconnect.

"If someone asks you a question, just answer them." No. I don't have to answer anything I don't want to answer. What the hell kind of reasoning is this? Do you just answer everyone's question all the time? If you don't feel like answering - don't. You don't owe them anything. They are strangers on the internet. They couldn't be less relevant to your life. "Have a normal conversation on X" I argue normal conversations don't exist on X. Because if what I see is normal, I don't want to be on this planet anymore. "being defensive and being a jerk to them." Not only have your questions been answered, I asked questions in return. So I get it: You can ask me questions and if I don't want to answer it then but ask you a question in kind, and you don't want to answer it then - I'm the ****, you're the innocent bystander. If my post isn't asking a question, I am not asking for anyone's thoughts, nor taking questions. I do Q and A's for that. Commentary is just that, and people are free to disagree or not with my commentary. They are free to ask, or not questions. And I am free to answer those questions, or not. You seem to have this definition of "nromal" that is inherently "you must do what is asked of you because I said so". Nah, I don't. There is no normal. How I am behaving right now is perfectly, 1000%, considered normal among my friends. "Nothing you do here is your private business" lol "you do it publicly and so the public has a right to ask about your public actions" And I have a right to respond to a question, with a question. "Just give an honest answer and move on." I did. You didn't like my answer.
