@hacks4pancakes I know for sure one of the guys down the hall was running a CC scam on AOL and got caught. I was really pissed when I found out because I thought about all the people having to get reissued cards. I think that is why I tried to stay out of infosec (too vengeful?)

@achornback Kids these days. They will never know what it’s like to get a job through an AOL chat, that leads to an ICQ based interview, that leads to being invited to an IRC server so you can prove yourself over the weekend, before finally talking to HR and getting pay onboarded on Monday.

@Dell apparently has the shittiest customer service since AOL. Can't get a supervisor on the phone and tech support is no help at all. Corporate says there's no one to answer their phones and to call back on the next business day. It's 9:30am when do y'all work?

What's great about that new Kevin Nash interview is he's half way through telling that "AOL merger" story he used to always tell and then halfway through just gives up. Its like he even cant be bothered with that **** anymore.

@sassandsarcasm I think DSL was like stupid expensive in Ohio at the time. My dad finally got cable Internet in LATE 2003. Timing in the year is relevant bc he still had AOL when I was home for that summer after a year on university pipeline internet in a brand new dorm 😭
