    @ReallyActivist The AOL merger (technically, an acquisition of TWX by AOL at the time) was a disaster and never made sense. As someone who was there at the time and saw it unfold from the inside, that was the catalyst for so much of what we see today.

    YIM down? go to MSN, or AOL, or Skype or whatever, or go to the forum or <whatever> IRC server. So many options to just chill and chat and vibe with everyone you cared about. Nowadays the internet is like it's in a cold war or fragmented af, with no flexibility to where anyone is

    @AOLSupportHelp I don’t understand that when I get sent an email to notify that my daughters contact no. & back up email was removed from her account, & if this wasn’t her then click on the link,which then takes you to login but doesn’t work because now changed to the hackers new password????

    @NESW123 He was adamant that we NEVER EVER talked with the news division. He kept us in separate buildings in fact. CNN Bureau and CNN Business were across town from each other. never saw them. After AOL Time Warner merger we were all in Columbus circle together Big mistake in retro

    Moreover though - I grew up back when we had to choose between forums or various IRC servers or YIM/MSN/AOL/various other IM clients. Everyone I knew was on every other service, and it felt arbitrary as hell, deciding which client or website you PM'd or messaged someone on.
