@peacefuldiana79 Damn, those were the DAYS! That AOL dial-up. Getting disconnected when someone picked up the phone to use it. Before cell phones really existed. Bring. Me. Back.

@Shawsy2488 $mrph Developers never deliver. Ever. Read through on everything and notice timelines from expectation to 0 confirmation. Hype. Hype. Hype. No delivery. Coin is $2.02 at this time and all we got a ride on was Black Papers?! I’m sorry... sounds like AOL 2.0, 3.0, etc.

@desert_starr_57 Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: Deep down 'Big Tech' ~HATES~ user generated content except as a means to an end -- cornering market share. The goal is an Internet like how AOL was about 20 years ago -- You pay a subscription for commercial filled content from big media.

  • ChamathieWood Chamathie Woodhapitiya (@ChamathieWood) reported

@dhh remember AOL and waiting minutes to dial up and connect to the internet? The same disruption is happening now in computing power. Over the next 10-25 years, the energy will not be an issue. Also do u have any idea as to how much energy it takes to mine gold?

  • postnick Nick Post (@postnick) reported

@BStoly @MKBHD I'm way older than @MKBHD and I've also never used AOL. We had local ISP Dialup and everybody in my middle school used MSN Messenger! And when we all had DSL we still used MSN.
